The movie event of the season hits theaters this month! “The Hunger Games”, based off the hugely popular young adult book series by Suzanne Collins, makes its way to the big screen with some even bigger names in music and film. But, joining the likes of Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz and Woody Harrelson on the bill with this Hollywood heavy-hitters are star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and a new face to the silver screen — LEVEN RAMBIN.

The 21-year-old Los Angeles native got her big break on the ABC soap opera “All My Children”, and has since had roles on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “One Tree Hill”. Leven stars as Glimmer, a tribute from District 4 in “The Hunger Games”.

With a major movie comes major promotion, so it shoudn’t come as a surprise that Genlux Magazine asked the starlet and her co-star Wes Bentley to participate in a very daring “behind-the-scenes” photoshoot for their Spring 2012 issue — shot by photographer Jeff Berlin.

The people of The Capitol — the fictional city in the film, don’t hold back when it comes to fashion and beauty — even if their version of style is way more outlandish than you and I are use to. Pink hair, tattoos on the face, gold lipstick — you name it! For this photoshoot, the stylists and photographer played into that — and the result for Leven were some major gowns and larger-than-life hair!

Not really sure why Wes is holding Leven down with his camera — but that bordeaux color of the suit stylist Christian Classen put him in, was all kinds of gorgeous. With a 1960’s inspired heightened ‘do, Leven lays across an aqua satin bedspread while donned in a metallic crystal beaded long-sleeve gown from the Spring 2012 collection by Valentino.

It appears as though Leven is supposed to be a bit of a mechanical muse for this shoot as Wes poses her in each photo. For this shot, he arranges her legs as she sits prim and proper in a leaf embroidered sheer inset gown.

This was another design from Valentino‘s Spring collection.

Leven’s hairstyle was transformed into an artistic array of glamorous curls for this shot where she donned a gorgeous gown from Chanel. While the model didn’t quite fill out this design out on the Resort 2012 catwalk — Leven fit it perfectly. I love the way the bodice hugs her curves and draws attention to the colorful embroidery.

I also like the black sheer attachments more than I did on the runway.

A love/hate relationship? An awkward Tango? Or, perhaps he’s still posing her… who knows? What I do know is that the rich color of Leven’s violet Bottega Veneta gown lights up the whole photo. This dress appeared in more of a purple on the Spring 2012 catwalk, but I like the blue effect being given off in this shot.

Once again sporting glam curls, Leven really commands attention here.
