Cover Girl: Rihanna Gets Sultry Under the Sunset for Harper’s Bazaar!

RIHANNA ditches usual see through tops, red lipstick and cropped-up-to-there shorts in favor of a subtly sexy-under-the-sunset photo shoot as the August cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar.

The 24-year-old Barbados beauty posed for the cover wearing in a white dress by Calvin Klein Collection, and shows off a wrist clad in a gold Neil Lane cuff while she runs her hair through a layered mane of raven-black tresses. I especially love her fresh face as makeup artist Mylah Morales created a glowing and fresh look for Riri using NARS Cosmetics. She should try light gold on her eyes and a glossy nude lip more often!

For the shoot, fashion editor Mel Ottenberg kept Rihanna’s clothing palette in gold and white — with a little pop of color thanks to a gorgeous Balmain mini dress. This might be one of Rihanna’s best fashion editorials to date.

On collaborating with ex Chris Brown for “Birthday Cake”: “I understood that people had every right to be concerned about it. But I didn’t see it that way because I’m in a different place.”

On being hesitant of a new relationship: “When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love. The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life. I’m afraid of feeling that again.”

On her much sleeker and toned figure: “I miss my ass. It just went away! I need a butt. I have an idea of one, but it’s not living up to its full potential right now.”

 

Rihanna wraps her arms around her waist, which put emphasis on the dramatic cutouts, plunging neck and high slit of this white Calvin Klein Collection dress. This is the same dress and Neil Lane gold cuff that she wears on the cover.

 

Rihanna shines in a liquid gold gown by Ralph Lauren Collection with a spiral pleated bodice. I love the way her hair is casually flipped to the side as her eyes pierce at you through the photograph.

 

Back in gold, Riri rocks a twisted front metallic gold textured dress and contrasting over-the-knee python boots, from the Fall 2012 collection by Tom Ford. She recently wore a dress by the designer to the 2012 MET Gala!

 

Rocking my absolute favorite dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Balmain! Riri shines in this high-neck embellished long sleeve mini dress, which looks like something straight out of a old fairytale. I adore the flecks of seafoam green!

Her white pointed toe pumps are by Manolo Blahnik.

 

Glowing in the setting sun, Rihanna tosses her hair back in a glittering white and gold draping dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Paco Rabanne. She showcases her long legs with a pair of ivory ankle strap Manolo Blahniksandals.

 

Riri let’s her eyes do all the talking as she covers her mouth with a white wide-open fishnet, long sleeve top by Alexander Wang. She wore the high neck over her mouth like the models from the Fall 2012 runway.

 

In the only black-and-white shot — Rihanna relaxes in a Emporio Armani top and a Donna Karan skirt with a chunky nail-head “Jutse En Clou” bracelet from Cartier.
