That’s right, the “Cosmopolis” star graces the first BlackBook issue of the Fall and he’s all kinds of technicolor goodness in the cover shot, lens by Autumn De Wilde, as he shows off his blowing reddish hair and rocks a cool white “Wave” t-shirt from Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière‘s latest “Egyptofunk” collection all while in front of a multicolored background reminiscent of a Scratch Magic art toy from my childhood.
But, it gets better! Some genius, we’ll call him Christopher Campbell (because that’s his name), styled the British actor in a variety of ridiculously amazing threads from the Fall/Winter 2012 menswear runway; including patterned and fur trim jackets, argyle polo tops and colored denim — all while he’s inked up in fake tattoos.
I mean, is it Christmas already?
The swoon-worthy editorial is accompanied by an article following Robert for a day and told from the point of view of his heart, and I’m not making that up. But, before you pick it up and delve into the issue — let’s take a closer look at the fashion now!
Rob relaxes in a Junk Food Clothing “Germs” Original Triblend Slub Destroyed Raglan blue-and-white tee, worn underneath a Gucci leather jacket with fur oversize lapels. His jeans are by Dries Van Noten and black leather boots by Hermés.
(above) A closer look at Rob’s “Germs” tee and those leather boots!
Sporting a slightly rumpled unbuttoned top, Rob wears a Earth tone argyle polo and striking dark green
corduroy trousers from Missoni. Brown leather belt by Michael Bastian.
(on the left) Rob wears a jacket and custom patch by Perfecto Brand by Schott.
(on the right) He’s wearing a vintage air corps graphic t-shirt.
Because one Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière tee is never enough, here’s Rob in another graphic t-shirt from the “Egyptofunk” collection! He’s wearing the black “Sphinx” with a pair of dark wash Balenciaga slim jeans.
This tee, as well as the one from the cover, are currently available on Balenciaga.com.
I couldn’t love this double pocket plaid KENZO jacket on Rob more if I tried. With the sleeves rolled to show off his “tats”, Rob also left only the top button of the jacket closed to reveal his Hamlet’s Vintage graphic t-shirt underneath.
Rob is also wearing pants by Michael Bastian.
My favorite look of the issue finds Rob taking a drink break in a multicolored stripe polo from Opening Ceremony worn underneath an amazing grey-and-gold striped oversize cardigan by Louis Vuitton. Adding further brightness to the look, Christopher styled Rob in vibrant yellow cuffed pants by Roberto Cavalli, which were paired with dark orange Dries Van Noten socks and brown suede lace up sneakers by A.P.C. His brown sunglasses are by Oliver Peoples.
Robert kept on the same Gucci leather jacket and dark red distressed Dries Van Noten jeans from earlier in the shoot, but this time around he partnered the duo with a pattern shirt from Armani Exchange.
