Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 Collection

China Glaze
is taking it to the streets in style this season with their new Fall 2017 ‘Street Regal’ Collection. The seasonal line features 12 colors in autumnal, jewel, and neutral tones, so whether you’re into deep berry shades, vibrant blues, cool greys or warm shades of gold and orange, there is something to appeal to you. In fact, there’s quite a few that had me looking like a heart-eyed emoji character.

I picked up the new line to test the new colors, so check out my swatch review below!

Street Style Princess – A light, kind of blue-toned grey creme. This was a beautiful application with almost no streaking at all on the first coat.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionTHRONE-IN SHADE

Throne-in’ Shade – A classic taupe creme. I had some slight streaking on the first coat, which wasn’t surprising since since it’s a light color. However, what was surprising is how easy it was to level everything out on the second coat. This is a beautiful neutral to add to your collection.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionTRUTH IS GOLD

Truth Is Gold – Gold shimmer with a bronze touch to it; the formula left me with a few brush strokes. This is a good gold, but not something we haven’t seen before. In fact, there has been a similar gold in the last two China Glaze collections so if you have one of those, you’re not missing much here.

I did a quick comparison a swatch wheel — see below.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionBORN TO RULE

Born To Rule – A true royal blue! Naturally, this was difficult to photograph because of the shine, but I love the color. Formula-wise it felt a bit like a jelly polish, but it built up really well after the first coat. I did three coats for the photos just to be safe, but two should be fine. The smell was a bit stronger than the others, but not unbearable. No top coat needed as it’s super glossy on its own, which is always a plus!

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionDAWN OF A NEW RE

Dawn of a New Reign – A dark purple creme that’s amazing in ONE COAT!

Yup, one with no top coat–a flawless wonder.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionROCK N ROYALE

Rock N’ Royale – A beautiful brick, raisin red cream – the perfect color for fall. For some reason I kept flooding my cuticles with this one and had to reapply about three times. It’s possible that was more me than anything, but it was worth it as I LOVE the color.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionACCENT PIECE

Accent Piece – An absolutely gorgeous pumpkin orange/gold with a nice shimmer to it. I had a few bald spots on the first coat, but all was good and leveled after two. I just knew this would be wonderful from first glance and it doesn’t disappoint.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionHAUTE AND HEAVY

Haute & Heavy – Dark gray steel shimmer. I absolutely love how dark it is, although for this one, you’re going to want to be careful with your application to avoid any noticeable brush strokes.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionROYAL PAIN IN THE ASCOT

Royal Pain in the Ascot – I love the name just as much as the color! A vampy, shimmering burgundy that is just beautiful. It’s not really a unique color as I’m sure you probably own a similar color in your collection…I know I have a few. However, it’s pretty and a great fall color with good application.

I used two coats here.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionGLAMCORE

Glamcore – I seriously really love all of these. This is just a deep, dark, shimmering beauty. From the bottle it comes across as a dusty purple, but it’s not, it’s an awesome eggplant purple that is so dark it almost looks black. I used just two coats here.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionBAROQUE JUNLE

Baroque Jungle – A dark hunter/emerald green shimmer that you NEED in your collection.

This was super smooth and glossy in two coats.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionJUST A LITTLE EMBELLISHMENT

Just A Little Embellishment – There’s been a love/hate relationship lately with CG mattes, but this matte teal was pretty easy to apply with two coats. Although I prefer a glossy topcoat–or maybe even a holo one, because I don’t like seeing the uneven bumps and strokes in the matte finish.

Check it out with a glossy top coat in the photo below.

Review: China Glaze 'Street Regal' Fall 2017 CollectionJUST A LITTLE EMBELLISHMENT

VERDICT: Street Regal is probably my favorite nail polish collection for the fall, so far. Not only are the colors on-point with the season, but the formulas are pretty great. This whole collection was a dream to apply–I’ve never had polishes go on so smoothly. They’re all so glossy without top coat as well.

My absolute favorite and must have of the collection has to be Accent Piece. I’m also in love with Dawn of a New Reign, Rock N’ Royale, Glamcore, Royal Pain in the Ascot and Baroque Jungle.

I have zero regret about purchasing all of these.
