MY VERDICT: Dua has had quite the successful year and it’s brought her to the BBMAs to perform to her hit single “New Rules” but, before before taking the stage, she hit the red carpet in a 1980s-inspired ensemble. The 22-year-old wore a purple lamé gown from the Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2018 collection, which features a plunging v-neck that ends in an oversize bow at the waist. This vibrant metallic hue looked great against her honey tanned complexion, but I didn’t think the silhouette did much for her.
That being said, the emerald and diamond “Serpenti” statement necklace and earrings from BVLGARI were absolutely stunning. Flawless hair and makeup, a pair of Fiorucci platform sandals and Spinelli Kilcollin rings completed her arrival look.
Dua stuck with the regal hue for her performance during the show opting for an Alessandra Rich Fall 2018 black lace trimmed silk satin mini dress with a draped neck-line. She toned it down with a comfy pair of custom ADIDAS platform sneakers and Lana Jewelry “Flawless” curve hoop earrings.
