MY VERDICT: Halsey had a wardrobe change planned for her appearance at this year’s BBMAs in Las Vegas, and selected a Redemption frock with a dramatic over-skirt train for her red carpet arrival. The 23-year-old singer pulled the hybrid dress from the couture line, but a printed version was included in the Fall/Winter 2018 runway collection. A platform heel would have probably be easier to walk in with so much fabric, but Halsey opted for a pair of Roger Vivier sandals with crystal buckle detail at the ankle strap. A low ponytail with cascading tendrils, a pair of Lorraine Schwartz statement earrings, and burgundy smoky eyes completed the look.
During the show, Halsey joined The Chainsmokers–whom she collaborated with on the hit “Closer”, wearing a barely there asymmetric dress from Alexandre Vauthier. The burgundy mini with a draped plunging neckline featured all-over crystal beading. While I wasn’t crazy about the cut of the dress, I loved the color and the way it was perfectly coordinated with Giuseppe Zanotti “Harmony” burgundy velvet sandals.
