ZOYA really is that brand that keeps giving. After getting plenty of use from the glorious ‘Splash’ collection this past summer, the brand has delivered -yet again- a beautiful autumnal palette that’s going to be on heavy rotation for me this season!
If you’re a fan of moody romantic hues during this time of year, you’re going to fall in love with the ZOYA Fall 2020 ‘Luscious’ Collection! The 12-shade line is filled with gorgeous plum and garnet tones, rich green and blues, and truly luscious shimmers.
With most of the world continuing to spend more time indoors, we have a lot of time to get that at-home spa treatment. Check out my swatch review below and then pick up some polish to treat yourself to a luscious mani-pedi!
Tommy — A blue toned, slate grey creme. While I know many people love light greys in the fall, it doesn’t feel very fall to me. That said, this is a pretty color and I’d wear it in the spring. Two coats for full coverage.
Patrice — A delicate color in neutral blush with gold shimmer throughout. This was super sheer, but built up well with two coats. I really liked it best with one coat; it gives a very natural look with a bit of sparkle.
Wanda — A cool-toned pink packed with gold shimmer. It reminds me a lot of bubblegum and spring. Formula-wise it was also pretty sheer, but with good coverage in two coats. I don’t think of this shade as a fall color, and the name reminds me of The Fairly OddParents (haha! Who remembers that cartoon?) I think if there is any time to wear this in the fall, it would be in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Teresa — A deep and murky purple, with a subtle and interesting ruby shimmer. I used two coats for coverage.
Andrea — This gorgeous color is a cool toned duochrome metallic that gives a shift from purple to green. It’s beautiful on the nail! Coverage is amazing and pretty much a one coater, but I used two.
Sharon — A red-toned berry creme. Formula was rather thin, but still easy to apply and coverage in two coats.
Bently — A cool, deep grape creme…it’s actually a bit darker on the nail than the bottle or my swatch, but it’s pretty. The formula seemed just fine, although my brush was much thinner than the others and gave a bit of trouble. I still had full coverage with two coats.
Mel — This is a perfect muted forest green for fall, and I love it! The formula was perfect and it was a one-coater for me, but I did two anyway.
Lou — A deep and dark denim blue, another great color for the season. Full coverage in two coats.
Lisa — This is a dark, rich garnet creme that looks almost brick red on the nail. I really like this shade of red; normally fall reds aren’t dark enough for me but this is great. Full coverage with two coats.
Tasha — GORGEOUS! A metallic brown that is packed with golden shimmer. Pictures don’t do this one justice, it’s beautiful! Again coverage was perfect with two coats.
Soleil — This one is another winner with it’s metallic sparkling cider. It’s a real beauty and must-have!!
VERDICT: There were one too many pink-ish shades for me, but many stand-out ones as well. You MUST get Soleil, Tasha and Andrea! I also really like Mel, Lou and Patrice.
FYI — I had some color shifting issues to the natural light in the room, but I edited the pictures to keep the actual shades of each polish as true to hue as possible.
