MY VERDICT: Kristian attended the annual Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend in the celeb-favorite Chagoury Couture cap sleeve beaded blush chiffon gown with sculpted shoulders, from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The full length dress features a bold large cutout at the back, which has proven to be the most loved detail about the design. Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town and Twilight’s Christian Serratos were seen rocking the look at award ceremonies last year.

MY VERDICT: I’m not too sure what was going on with Christel Khalil’s look at the Daytime Emmy Awards. The 25-year-old “Young and the Restless” actress normally looks pretty well put together, but I was confused by her dress choice. Christel arrived on the red carpet wearing a halterneck red-orange gown by Shareen with cutouts at the hips. It almost looks like she tucked a floor-length sarong into her bikini top–and that’s not cool. This didn’t just borderline on too much–it hit the mark. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Sal was vibrant in violet when she hit the scarlet carpet for the 2013 Daytime Emmy Awards. The former “American’s Next Top Model” winner has found a new home on “All My Children”, and she brought her beauty A-game to the annual ceremony in a slinky Moschino satin gown. The sultry floor-length design features twisted straps and a sexy dramatic draped open back. This purple tone is beautiful against her rich complexion, and I loved her long braid.

I wonder if Sal and her AMC costar Denyse Tontz planned their lookalike ‘dos!

Shimmering smoky eyes and minimal accessories completed her look. Sometimes less is more, but I think a few diamond and amethyst bracelets would had added a complimenting sparkle.

MY VERDICT: Kelli simply stunned in for the Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday night. The “Young and the Restless” actress bared some shoulder in a beautiful black floor length stress lace and bead-embroidered gown by BCBG Max Azria. Not only was this column cut design a perfect fit on Kelli, but the dress exuded subtle elegance for the young starlet.

Keeping up with the hottest trend right now, Kelli accessorized with a delicate gold body-chain that fell over her shoulders. She wore her long blonde hair neatly swept up before finishing with gold bracelets, large diamond stud earrings and winged smoky eyes. She was definitely one of my favorites of the night.

MY VERDICT: Teresa looked lovely at the Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend in a Chagoury Couture gown. The “General Hospital” star, who joined the beloved drama last year, arrived at the ceremony in this Spring/Summer 2012 strapless gown featuring all-over crystal beading and delicate feather embroidery beginning low on the waist. White was a huge trend at the award show this year–Teresa’s fellow soap stars Cady McClain and Denyse Tontz opted for no-fuss, bright white ensembles.

Adding a fun splash of color, Teresa accessorized with a navy leather clutch. She then completed her look with glamorous makeup, cascading curls, diamond jewelry, and a pair of metallic open toe platform pumps.

MY VERDICT: I was disappointed with the lack of green on the red carpet at the Daytime Emmy Awards this past weekend–until Melissa Archer showed up! The “One Life to Live” actress broke out one of my favorite colors when she arrived in a halterneck Tony Bowls kelly green gown, which featured a multicolored jeweled neckline that transformed into a draped back with more jewel embellishments decorating a mesh panel. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Lisa kept it spicy at the Daytime Emmy Awards in her cutaway black dress. The “General Hospital” actress hit the red carpet in a Haider Ackermann silk design straight from the Spring 2013 runway; the long dress featured a billowing asymmetric sleeveless top, which gave way to a plunging open side with a bandeau top to keep her covered up. You can clearly see from the runway that dress is edgy and cool, but I wish there had been a better photo of Lisa to show that. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Elizabeth brought a splash of spring to the Daytime Emmy Awards when she arrived in a silk dupioni full-length Lindsey Thornburg cap sleeve “Heroine” gown with a pastel tie-dye motif. The slinky design may have seemed soft and sweet, but that daring plunging neckline could not be missed. Very few people could pull such a cut off, but the “Young and the Restless” star exuded confidence and made it work for her. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: At first glance it looks like Hunter King wore a black gown to the Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend, but she actually did something a little more unique for the ceremony and rocked a jumpsuit! The 19-year-old “Young and the Restless” starlet hit the red carpet in a vintage wide-leg silk Jean Varon jumper from Decades, Inc. The playful evening design featured a sassy plunging neckline, which was harnessed by two wide spaced built-in bands, and a cutout back. MY VERDICT: Kristen Alderson made a giant wardrobe improvement at the Daytime Emmy Awards this time around, when compared to her silver gown last year, but that’s not to say there weren’t a few bumps along the way. The 22-year-old actress shined on the red carpet in a jewel-and-sequin embellished sweetheart silver lace gown by Tony Bowls before taking the stage to accept her award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series, for her role as Starr Manning on “General Hospital”. | continue reading..
