Stop whatever you’re doing! This is not a drill. BTS have officially joined the Louis Vuitton family as ambassadors of the iconic French fashion House!
Actually, this shouldn’t come as a huge shock considering the hints they’ve been dropping with that promo for the Fall/Winter 2021 Menswear fashion show back in January — and their collective 2021 Grammy red carpet looks. ARMYs, the name of their powerhouse fandom, kind of suspected this was in the future, but the brand made things official today with a ‘dynamite’ press release to announce the collaboration.

Via the Official Press Release: With multi-platinum singles and albums, as well as a Grammy nomination under their belt, South Korean band BTS are undoubtedly one of the most renowned and influential groups in the world. In breaking numerous Billboard and Guinness World Records, BTS’s ubiquitous popularity resonates worldwide and Louis Vuitton is very happy to share news of their new role within the House.
Following discussions where Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Artistic Director, Virgil Abloh and BTS shared their creative visions and ideas, Virgil Abloh says: “I am delighted BTS are joining Louis Vuitton today. I am looking forward to this wonderful partnership which adds a modern chapter to the House, merging luxury and contemporary culture. I can’t wait to share all the very exciting projects we are working on”.

Since the announcement, the official Louis Vuitton and Virgil Abloh social media accounts have been dropping images from their first campaign shoot as well as a virtual interview between Abloh and BTS members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, which was shared to Abloh’s Instagram story at the time of this posting.
