In an official press release today, Italian sneaker brand, Superga, proudly announced that model and host Hailey Rhode Bieber will serve as their global ambassador for the Spring/Summer 2021 season.
Hailey is known for her super stellar streetwear fashion sense, so she was a clear choice to rep the brand.
Per the press release, Superga wanted the campaign to show some of their most iconic styles seen as they are worn globally, from day to night, fitting perfectly with the American style icon’s taste. Further, with a penchant for sustainability, it was only natural for the activist to front as the face of the classic cotton plimsoll shoes.
Of the collaboration, Hailey says, “Superga is synonymous with Italy so when I was asked to become Superga’s new ambassador, I immediately thought about how it’s one of my favorite countries – I spent a part of my honeymoon there! I love the story and heritage of this brand. Superga is a shoe that has stayed true to its origins and never gone out of style. It’s timeless and classy and I feel it perfectly matches my personal style.”
The campaign was shot in New York City in December 2020 at Pier 59 with an all-female team. Photographer and sustainability-minded, Stevie Dance’s insightful lens penetrates the given subject and is cause for an audience to fall in love with the character, while New York based stylist and fashion editor, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, placed her unmistakable mark in capturing Hailey in a series of 24/7 looks around time-honored styles of Superga sneakers.
