Katherine Heigl was amongst the star-studded 40th AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony, to honor actress Shirley MacLaine at Sony Pictures Studios in California.

The 33-year-old actress arrived on the black carpet wearing a black silk gown from the Fall 2010 collection by Monique Lhuillier, which featured metallic gold embroidered straps that traveled in a snake-like wave down one side of her dress, gathering fabric as it went.

A sexy side slit showed off Katie’s matching dark gold strappy Camilla Skovgaard sandals. A lace panel filled this opening on the runway, but I prefer the open cut on her. | continue reading..

Jennifer Aniston went for an all-white look on Thursday night when she attended the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony, to honor actress Shirley MacLaine.

The 43-year-old got glam in a crossover floor-length chalk gown designed by Christopher Bailey for Burberry. The design featured spaghetti-thin straps and a high slight in the front of the skirt to show off Jenn’s t-bar, strappy python bone sandals.

Meryl Streep hit the black carpet on Thursday night to celebrate the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award soirèe, which honored legendary actress Shirley MacLaine.

The 62-year-old Oscar winner wore a Valentino gown from the Spring 2012 haute couture collection, with an ivory lace shirt blouse and a full pink and white floral skirt.

I’ve found this whole collection to be very feminine, but also mature and haven’t really gotten on board with any of the young starlets wearing it on the red carpet. While it even feels a bit aged on Meryl, she brings new life to the design and the cut and colors also fit in with Meryl’s natural red carpet style. | continue reading..

Dakota Fanning hit the black carpet last night at Sony Pictures Studios for the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award special, which honored actress Shirley MacLaine.

The 18-year-old actress looked beautiful in a Gucci coral silk georgette v-neck pleated gown, from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Not only do I think this color was a lovely shade on Dakota, I’m loving her accessories!

Dakota wore a gold studded, black leather butterfly Gucci belt that perfectly matched her minaudière.

She left her hair naturally waved before finishing off her look with gold Neil Lane jewelry and her favorite Cartier “Love” bracelets, along with a pair of Gucci sandals and a light makeup palette. | continue reading..
