WHO: The cast of “Glee”
WHERE & WHEN: 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 27, 2013.

KEVIN McHALE: I had to kick this whole thing off with Kevin because I just don’t think I could have contained my love for his hunter green jacket much longer!  The 24-year-old actor worked the heck out of that red carpet in his monochrome black shirt, tie and trousers while sporting a custom Oscar Olima dark green satin jacket over his shoulders with contrast details.  This was totally unique and eye catching—I loved it.  Kevin finished his look with shiny black dress shoes from Prada.

CORY MONTEITH: This is probably one of the best suit looks I’ve ever seen on Cory.  I loved his Calvin Klein Collection grey tuxedo with black contrast arched lapels and stripes down the sides of his pants.  It was well tailored and suited him very nicely.  Cory finished with black Christian Louboutin dress shoes, Ox and Bull Trading Co. cufflinks and tie bar, and a Versace watch. | continue reading..

“Glee” actress Amber Riley hit the red carpet on Friday night in a sparkling midnight blue gown when she attended the 43rd NAACP Image Awards.

Amber’s one-shouldered gown comes from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Theia and I think it was a brilliant selection for her. She’s looking so much trimmer lately and this dress definitely flaunts that rather than the bow appliqué cocktail dress she opted for last month at the SAG Awards.

She completed her look with a black clutch, smokey navy blue eyes and voluminous cascading curls.

They say “you can’t go wrong with a little black dress”, but you can. You can also go really wrong with a long black dress. See who got it right and who got it wrong on the red carpet this past Sunday for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

I like to think that Tina Fey read my post about her for the Golden Globes two weeks ago because she ixnayed another fluffy gown in favor of sleek and sexy Versace! I love the smooth black gown she wore with the draping metallic ombré bodice. With black peep toe sandals and a chic bouffant hairstyle with diamond and onyx drop earrings — she looked amazing. There were so many interesting looks on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this past Sunday. Some were fabulous, others were odd, some were just downright bad, and then you had a few that got slightly over-looked.

I want to put focus on those.

Mary J. Blige was in attendance as she was nominated for the “Best Original Song”; her song “The Living Proof” was featured in the nominated film “The Help”.
