Kate Mara attended the Emmy Awards last night where she supported her cast and crew from “American Horror Story”.

The 29-year-old actress looked beautiful in a silk lavender-and-gold floral lace gown from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection by Badgley Miscka, which was completely embroidered with colorful peach, purple and gold petal appliqués along the lace edged neckline and bodice.

It should go without saying that Kate looked great in this gown, but I’m not quite sure what’s going on with her hair. It’s almost like a pinned side-ponytail. Regardless, I’m not feeling it.

Leaving her hair out or a half-up/half-down style would have been much more complimenting.

Kate finished off with stacked diamond bracelets, smoky eyes and dark lacquered nails.

Your favorite ladies from today’s hottest primetime shows hit the red carpet last night for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Performers Peer Group Cocktail Reception, which was held in Universal City, California — and they pretty much all wore black.

“Modern Family” star Julie Bowen arrived at the Sheraton Hotel wearing black floral lace dress from French couturier designer Christophe Josse, which featured flounce tiers at the waist and trim around the neckline along with beaded bordering throughout. With her hair gathered up and subtle make-up, Julie simply finished off her look with a dark purple lacquered pedicure that peeked out of her platform black suede Jimmy Choo pumps.

Julie’s costar Sofia Vergara continues to make me feel completely lazy about going to the gym as she struts around in a sassy little dress. The 40-year-old newly engaged actress flaunted her killer bod in a long-sleeve black lace dress with embroidered tasseling at the crossover hemline layer. Kate Mara opted for a more simplistic look last night on the red carpet for the Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture thrown bash for the “Vanities” 20th Anniversary.

The “American Horror Story” actress wore a sleeveless black fully zipped front dress from BIRD by Juicy Couture that she paired with nude peep toe pumps. Kate added a bit of sparkle to the look with a glittered bronze minaudière.

With her wavy tresses falling over one shoulder, Kate’s look was complete.

Forget sitting at home binging on chocolate, this past Tuesday Miu Miu threw a major soiree on Valentine’s Day as they premiered the Giada Colagrande-directed “The Woman Dress,” the third in a series of short films entitled “The Women’s Tales” by distinctive female filmmakers exploring women’s love affair with Miu Miu.

“Glee” star Jayma Mays supported Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s new horror-drama series “American Horror Story” last night in Los Angeles.

I love what Jayma has going on here, it’s totally mis-matched and I dig it. I’m not sure this was perfect for a premiere, but I do like it a lot. Jayma wore the tan ‘Glen’ plaid blazer by Rachel Zoe and paired it with a grey ‘Bianca’ pleated skirt by Bec & Bridge. She added a pop of color and quirk by wearing an ASOS mustard-colored horse print sweater. The cuffs of her jacket were rolled to let a peek of the sleeve pop out. | continue reading..

Kate Mara arrived at last night’s premiere of FX’s new horror-drama series “American Horror Story” wearing a pretty silk ruffled strapless purple dress by Christian Dior from the spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection.

The dress was pretty and I like the fact that she switched out the runway presented colorful rope belt in favor of an appropriate black belt now that we’re out of the warmer season. Her pin-straight hair is just too bland and distracting for this though, she should’ve pulled that back into a tight ponytail.

Kate matched her belt to her black Prada pumps, but I wish she had worn a platform sandal. I think the thick heel and squared toe was just too heavy for this dress.

Christian Serratos attended the premiere of the new FX series “American Horror Story” last night in Los Angeles wearing a voluminous pretty black and gold dress.

The “Twilight” saga actress selected a dress from Gabriela Cadena‘s fall collection for the event held at the Cinerama Dome. The puffy pleated tulle skirt added some shape to Christian’s slim frame, and the twisted belt beautifully broke up the design from the wrapped bodice embellished on the cap sleeves with gold beading.

Christian accessorized with a gold sequin-embellished clutch and glittered black peep-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin. I love how the highlights in her hair and her metallic eyeshadow really play off the dress. This was a great look on her!
