WHO: Emma Stone
WHERE & WHEN: 85th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement on January 10, 2013.
WEARING: Andrew Gn dress, Christian Louboutin shoes & Sydney Evan jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Emma was up bright and early this to take the podium with Seth McFarlane (not pictured) and present the nominees for the 85th Academy Awards.  The 24-year-old actress let her golden blonde tresses fall in sculpted swept waves as she showed off her glamorous a-line white silk dress by Andrew Gn.  The deep v-neck Spring 2013 fit-and-flare dress featured arched lapels, gathering at the waist and a black leather belt, which Emma complimented with matching “Batignolles” pumps from Christian Louboutin.  A touch of Old Hollywood glamour at 5 o’clock in the morning? It’s the Oscars, why not? | continue reading..

Jennifer Garner in Monique Lhuillier | “Argo” Beverly Hills Premiere

I thought Jennifer Garner looked really nice on the red carpet on Thursday night when she stepped out for the premiere of “Argo” at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

The 40-year-old actress got glam in a Monique Lhuillier gown as she supported her husband Ben Affleck, who stars in the film. She selected a sexy sweetheart mermaid silk dress from Lhuillier’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection.

Although, I feel like something is severely lacking without the corset belt from the catwalk — sorry, it’s just not the same — I can’t deny that this was another red carpet win for Jen. | continue reading..

Eva Longoria in Marchesa | “For Greater Glory” Beverly Hills Premiere

Eva Longoria was all smiles as she arrived at the red carpet premiere of her new film, ARC Entertainment’s “For Greater Glory” in Beverly Hills, California. The 37-year-old actress plays the role of ‘Tulita’ in the film, which is centered around The Cristeros War in the 1920′s.

Eva selected a black leather dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Marchesa. The cap-sleeved design features embroidery at the shoulders and a laser stencil cut-out effect throughout that reveals a white under-layer.

The dress looks cool on the model; I can see why Eva would be interested, but the drop waist flouncing skirt seems a bit overwhelming on Eva’s petite figure. | continue reading..

2011 Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence joined Tom Sherack on the stage early this morning at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills to announce the nominations for The 84th Annual Academy Awards.

The 21-year-old star of the upcoming “The Hunger Games” wore a sleeveless sangallo eyelet lace dress, featuring a blue and pale yellow top with floral detailing and a black pencil skirt, that was inspired by the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Prada. | continue reading..

Charlize Theron in Stella McCartney | “Young Adult” LA Premiere

While I was on the train last night, I made sure to check in with the red carpet coverage photos from the Los Angeles premiere of “Young Adult”. I had been wanting Charlize Theron in a dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Stella McCartney for awhile now, and not only did she hit the red carpet in a look from the line, it just happened to be one of my top choices for her!

Charlize arrived at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater wearing a one shouldered bone silk crepe moroccain “Bennet” embroidered dress. It was obviously customized with added fabric in the center to make it a bit longer for her tall curvy frame as the original runway version is a micro-mini. It also made it a little less revealing at the bust. I love the added length; she probably would have looked fabulous either way, but this suited her figure and style.

To match the perforated fabric at the neckline, Charlize wore a pair of black leather ankle strap “Raia” sandals by Manolo Blahnik with a fishnet wide t-strap that I love so much. I want to make them a part of my own footwear collection — you just can’t deny a shoe this good. | continue reading..

Elizabeth Reaser in Carolina Herrera | “Young Adult” LA Premiere

Elizabeth Reaser rocked a gorgeous shade of apple green last night when she attended the Los Angeles premiere of “Young Adult” at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

This Carolina Herrera brushstroke design was originally seen as a gown for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, but Elizabeth donned a slinky low v-neck cocktail version with gathered fabric at the center of the skirt. To me, the look is a bit off-balanced and I think it has to do more with the amount of volume in her dark brown hair. Her hair looked great, but overwhelming and definitely taking center stage over everything else. If she had left it as it was but pulled it into a high ponytail, I think it would have evened the look out. | continue reading..

Elle Fanning in Miu Miu | The “Super 8″ Release Party

Elle Fanning joined her “Super 8″ cast-mates last night at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills for the red carpet Blu-ray and DVD release party for the Paramount Pictures movie in head-to-toe Miu Miu.

While the other ladies at the event were donned in the usual cocktail dresses and super high stilettos, the 13-year-old actress stepped out at the event semi-casually in an ivory and pink short-sleeve sweater with a dog-motif beaded embroidery that she paired with black lana tricot trousers from the Resort 2012 collection.

With a fresh face and natural wavy blonde locks, Elle finished off her look with black paillete mary-jane flats with crystal-encrusted heels from the same collection.

Elle is always experimenting with her style;  I appreciate the fact that she never really tries to dress older than she is. Yes, her style is very mature when it comes to the average girl her age, but I love it all the same.

I may not always like what she wears, but I respect her approach.

Shailene Woodley in Dolce & Gabbana | “The Descendants” Beverly Hills Premiere

She finally got it right!

I’ve been liking the designer choices for Shailene Woodley while she’s been doing press for “The Descendants” the last couple of months, but I have yet liked one of her red carpet looks completely.

This all changed on Tuesday when the 20-year-old actress arrived at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater for the Beverly Hills premiere in a beautiful black tea-length dress by Dolce&Gabbana that was covered in purple and coral floral prints.

Shailene looked so lovely and ladylike in this dress, which featured a sweetheart neckline at the crossover bodice.

The dress looked amazing on her, it fit and cut in all the right places. I love that she kept her make-up minimal but finally wore her really long hair in a beautiful up-’do. If she had worn it out, I probably would have clicked out her photo without even commenting on it here.

Not only was this the perfect premiere dress for her, it was also a great look for her to celebrate her birthday in! Her special day was the same night.

Shailene finished off with black satin rounded toe pumps.
