MY VERDICT: As the host of the biggest fashion event of the year, Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour was one of the first people to arrive on the red carpet for the PUNK: Chaos to Couture themed gala honoring the new punk exhibition for the museum.

She wore a Chanel bright floral sequin embroidered gown and it looked really nice on her, but I mean, what is punk about that? Don’t answer, because: uhh–nothing. I can’t say that I was shocked that she didn’t stick to the theme of her own party, but this Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture dress was as far from punk as you can get. Was that the point?

Anna’s daughter Bee Shaffer also skipped the “punk” part and went straight to couture. Bee wore a pretty Christian Dior pale pink embroidered silk bustier evening gown from the Spring 2013 Haute Couture line. This look was completed with smoky eyes and a smooth chignon. Oh, but her nails are black. I stand corrected.

I was so excited to see that my favorite Burberry dress from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection was worn at the 9th annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards on Tuesday night by one of my favorite ladies—Emma Stone.

Unfortunately, not all went as envisioned.

The 23-year-old talented lady selected Look 43, a gorgeous belted navy and black peplum strapless bustier top that’s paired with a emerald green glittering pencil skirt. Remember it from my Breaking Dawn – Part 2: Wish List?  Honestly, how could you not fall in love with this glorious design? I have no doubt Emma immediately jumped at the chance to wear it—I would have.

Anna Wintour was among the star-studded guest list at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday night, held in honor of artist Ed Ruscha and the late director Stanley Kubrick.

American Vogue’s editor-in-chief was clad in a sleeveless black-and-red floral satin tea-length evening gown by Rochas, from the recently presented Spring/Summer 2013 collection. I absolutely adored the sweetheart bustier version seen on the runway, so it was nice to get a peek at another equally beautiful design from the line.

Anna finished off her look with a black clutch, a multicolored crystal necklace and the same nude strappy Manolo Blahnik sandals that she wore last weekend in New York City.

After sitting pretty for a few Spring 2013 fashion shows during Paris Fashion Week, Jennifer Lopez painted the town red when she stepped out for the night with Casper Smart to attend Anna Wintour’s cocktail dinner supporting President Barack Obama’s Democratic fundraiser, Obama Victory Fund 2012.

It may have been all about pink this morning, but Jennifer was a vixen in her scarlet sleeveless sheath dress by Hakaan ($1,675, stylebop.com), featuring a high slit in the knee-length skirt with a contoured wave design starting at the right hip. | continue reading..

You can’t very well have a MET Gala fashion report and not include the lady in charge of the whole shebang — American VOGUE Editor-in-Chief — Anna Wintour!

With her signature bob-cut hairstyle visible from many feet away, Ms. Wintour hit the red carpet last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC for the opening of the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition.

While in years past Anna has donned many looks from a particular pair of designers, it was all about Prada this time around as arrived wearing a natural linen, hand painted gown that was embroidered with gold metal trimming and a plexi and glass stone lobster embroidered motif going down the side of the dress.

Anna accessorized with a colorful topaz statement necklace, a plush ivory fur cape and strappy sandals.

I could have done without the cape in every photo to appreciate more of the dress, but I think this may be my most favorite look from Anna at the MET Gala in many years.

Kristen Stewart made her debut as the ambassador for the latest fragrance by Balenciaga when she attended the Autumn/Winter 2012 fashion show for the fashion house as part of Paris Fashion Week.

This past Wednesday, in the midst of New York Fashion Week, Victoria Beckham joined Hamish Bowles and Anna Wintour at Grand Central Shuttle Station for the launch of Britain’s GREAT campaign — which is designed to promote the UK as a place to ‘take a fresh look at’ and visit.

Straight from the Fall/Winter 2012 runway, Victoria wore a dress from the her signature collection; a black dress with a mini-button neckline and elbow splits in the three-quarter length sleeves. I adore the double wrapped leather belt. | continue reading..
