Photos: ZimbioMY VERDICT: I’m not sure where the “punk” was in all of this, but Katie Holmes was a guest at this year’s New York City MET Ball where she hit the red carpet wearing this custom-made white halterneck Calvin Klein Collection gown. Now, judging by her gushing during the live stream interview of the red carpet arrivals, Katie obviously loves the gown Creative Director Francisco Costa designed for her—and with good reason, it’s a beautiful dress.
Considering the dramatic trans and solid canvas, I think Katie could have done more to stick with the PUNK: Chaos To Couture theme, but–like many, she stuck by intense smoky eyes with nude lips, twisted hair, and dagger shaped diamond earrings.

Photos: Zimbio; Brian AtwoodMY VERDICT: Jennifer opted for angelic elegance at the main event — where she picked up the award of “Best Actress in a Leading Role” for her work in “Silver Linings Playbook” — however, the Vanity Fair after party was entirely different ball game. The 22-year-old actress ramped up the sex appeal in a liquid metallic bustier gown by Calvin Klein Collection that accentuated her slim waist and décolletage.
To be honest, Jen could use a little boost at the bust, but other than that I actually prefer this dress on her rather than the former. Sure the ball gown was appropriate for the show, and she looked beautiful, but I appreciate it when Jen takes more of a simpler approach. | continue reading..
Photos: ZimbioMY VERDICT: Jessica is such a beauty and I was strongly awaiting her walk down the red carpet last night for the Golden Globes to see what dress she wore. Although I had ideal dresses that I wanted to see her to wear, I figured she’d go with a custom gown—and she did. The “Zero Dark Thirty” star won Best Actress for her role while wearing a Calvin Klein Collection seafoam silk crepe halter dress, designed by Francisco Costa. The color is lovely, although a bit too light for her, and the skirt is really nice—but I do not like that neckline. It was pretty anticlimactic for me. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Style.comBecause the screening was sponsored by Calvin Klein Collection, I wasn’t surprised to see that the 44-year-old actress stepped out in a head-to-toe look from the latest Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Naomi wore a strapless ivory champagne cocktail dress, which fell just belove her knees. On the runway, the black trim at the plunging sweetheart neckline and sides of the dress were complimented by a skinny black belt. | continue reading..
Photos: Zimbio; Style.comThe “Shine Ya Light” singer wore head-to-toe Calvin Klein Collection, which included the golden yellow wool crepe dress from the Resort 2013 collection, which features double splits and the neck and center of the skirt, as well as a matching bandeau top worn underneath. We’ve previously seen Diane Kruger in the frock at a Fashion Week dinner earlier this fall, but I think Rita adds her own hip vibe to it that sets it apart from the actress.
She wore her short blonde hair gelled back in a Carol Brady-esque flip before completing her look with a dark red matte lip and see-through ankle boots. I have to say that her footwear of choice is definitely my least favorite part of this ensemble.

Photos: Zimbio; Style.comThe 37-year-old actress selected this Spring 2012 single shoulder sleek design with asymmetric folded elements at the bust and slim waist. It was a nice tribute of Liz to wear a gown by Herrera; the designer created the famous wedding gown worn by Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″. I found it to be a sweet ‘send-off’.
I think the lovely pastel color was sweet against Liz’s fair complexion and chocolate-colored cascading curls. She didn’t wear any visible jewelry (I can’t see her ears) and minimal make-up, as it wasn’t needed, before completing her premiere look with a silver mirrored Calvin Klein Collection box clutch and a pair of black open toe platform Christian Louboutin pumps.

Photos: Zimbio; Style.comThough I ran hot-and-cold with Julianne’s dress choice, I couldn’t help but love the design Olivia selected to hit the red carpet with. The 28-year-old wore Look 14; a lovely mid-length ice white silk sleeveless cocktail dress with sheer layering along with solid split paneling at the bodice and a illusion peplum at the flared skirt. | continue reading..
