MY VERDICT: Eddie looked adorably dashing on the red carpet when he turned up in a suave black tuxedo from Alexander McQueen.  I can’t say I wasn’t hoping to see him turn it out in something bold like he did with the brown suit at the SAG Awards, but I also can’t deny that Eddie does classic so well.  I love the arched lapels on the jacket, his elegant formal bow-tie, and the pièce de résistance —velvet evening loafers!  Well done, Mr. Redmayne.

MY VERDICT: It was quite the bold choice to step outside of the classic black and midnight blue formal menswear and rock a brown velvet tuxedo, but that’s just the kind of stylish man Eddie is. I mean, hello, don’t you remember the teal velvet?  Oh, and that blazer?  The “Les Misèrables” star was a stand out on the red carpet for me;  this BOSS Black ensemble, which included a white dress shirt, a subtle printed black tie and shiny lace up shoes, was unexpected and appreciated.

WEARING: ACNE

MY VERDICT: There was quite an elegance about what Eddie wore last night for the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. The “Les Misèrables” star, who has been wearing a lot of three certain designer labels lately, stepped out in a black suit by ACNE—which just so happened to include a luxe single-button velvet tuxedo jacket with satin lapels, thank you very much. I just love that he loves velvet so much. Instead of going all in like he did at the Les Miz premiere a few weeks ago, Eddie limited the plush fabric to just the jacket this time around. He then finished off the look with flat front trousers, a white dress shirt, a skinny black satin tie and shiny black lace up shoes. That white folded pocket square was a nice touch.

WEARING: Topman

MY VERDICT: Oh, Eddie who is dressing you?  They like you so much. The “Les Misérables” star struck menswear gold once more when he stepped out for the ceremony in a luxe raisin three-piece tuxedo from Topman. The color is so dreamy, but I was further impressed by the matching diamond patterned tie to pop off his white shirt as opposed to classic black.

After whipping out a stunner of a velvet suit last week for the world premiere of “Les Miserables” in London, Eddie Redmayne hit the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theatre for the New York premiere last night in yet another winning look.

The 30-year-old English actor rocked an Alexander McQueen vivid blue suit that he livened up even further with a holiday-ready bordeaux pattern tie and a matching folded pocket square.  Eddie made my “Best Dressed Men of 2011″ list—and do you see why?  He certainly knows how to select and work a great suit in a vibrant color.  I’m excited to see where he takes us next!

Eddie, who was joined by his costar Samantha Barks, completed his premiere look with black suede dress shoes.

Amanda Seyfried looked beautiful on the red carpet last night when she attended the Sun Military Awards in London, England with her “Les Miserables” costar Eddie Redmayne.

The 27-year-old actress arrived at the Imperial War Museum wearing a silk-chiffon draped lilac Alexander McQueen strapless floor-length dress in a gorgeous watercolor effect. We often seen this goddess gown on stars, but it’s usually a solid color and un-belted. I love that Amanda wore a pattern, and the silver metallic statement belt was a great touch to compliment her strappy Rupert Sanderson “Flare” sandals. | continue reading..

As soon as I saw the charming Eddie Redmayne hit the red carpet tonight for the world premiere of “Les Misérables” in London, I was instantly mesmerized by the suit he wore. I just knew it had to be my favorite Fall 2012 Burberry Prorsum suit—and it was!

The 30-year-old English actor wore the incredibly dashing indigo green velvet two-button jacket and matching narrow trousers. Not only was it my favorite look from this menswear collection, it might just be one of my absolute favorite suits ever! How can you not love that color—and, really, he’s wearing VELVET. It isn’t always about the dresses or the shoes when it comes to looking your best on the red carpet — it’s also not always about the ladies. I’m constantly gushing about my love of menswear — and thanks to the following fellas — I got my fill of some great red carpet suits and well-groomed men this year.

 

10. Douglas Booth
Model, and upcoming star of the “Romeo and Juliet” movie, Douglas Booth was a favorite of mine this year. He’s always been slightly on my radar, but he really caught my eye when he attended the EvianVIP Suite at Wimbledon this past summer brightening up black jeans and a white tee with a pinstripe bright kelly green blazer. I love a man in color.

He played it a bit neutral later on for the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show in London. He, once again, wore black jeans and a low neck white tee –but, this time he dressed it up with a nice textured tan blazer cuffed to show off the white pinstripe interior detail. I love his choice of footwear! The brown and beige in his lace-ups made it all worthwhile. | continue reading..
