MY VERDICT: Ellie was very minty refreshing in her beautiful sea foam green chiffon gown by Reem Acra.  This fluid silhouette features a tulle overlay and ladylike floral and beaded embroidery all over, as well as a slightly dramatic sash that folds at the waist and drapes down one side.  Part of me wishes she had worn her hair down, but I like that Ellie kept her makeup very soft to not overpower the dress, and I love her accessories–check out that clutch!

 

In addition to Kerry Washington and Bella Heathcote, several of your favorite ladies from the small and silver screen stepped out yesterday morning for the annual “Power 100: Women In Entertainment” breakfast thrown by The Hollywood Reporter! In a sea of pretty printed dresses, bright colors, funky shoes and animal print it was hard to pick a favorite, but now that The Fashion Court has this cool, quick run-down—it should make things a tad bit easier!

Ashley Madekwe: The “Revenge” actress brightened up her dark accessories for the early event by slipping on this drop-waist BCBGMAXAZRIA “Astra” ruffled hem mini dress in Gardenia. When you have great gams—you should totally show them off! Ashley put focus on hers with the added help of black peep toe boots from Hervé Léger by Max Azria before topping her look off with red nails and side swept waves. | continue reading..

It was a quite the swanky affair last night when the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills quickly filled up with some of the most talented ladies (and fellas) in Tinseltown as they came together to help honor their fellow actors at ELLE Magazine’s annual Women In Hollywood event.

Ellie Kemper kept it chic in an ivory Moschino peplum cocktail dress with a ruffled neckline, from the Fall 2011 collection. I really love that she added some color to her look with deep red accessories. She carried a patent clutch with matching pumps before topping it all off with 18k white gold earrings with rubies and diamonds from Katerina Maxine.

“Glee” actress Naya Rivera also opted for a Fall 2011 dress by Moschino; a yellow cream sleeveless shift dress with light pin-tucking at the waist. She also opted for red accessories, including a gold and bordeaux tube clutch that she partnered with velvet open toe platform Tory Burch pumps. The Fashion Court caught you up with some of the hottest dresses from your favorite stars on the blue carpet for the 2012 Do Something Awards, hosted by DoSomething.Org and VH1 in Hollywood. But, there were a few other note-worthy looks that I didn’t want to go unnoticed.

Let’s break them down here, shall we?

Ellie Kemper looked so cute when she arrived for the awards ceremony in this printed a-line party dress. The “21 Jump Street” actress selected a gold metallic cocktail dress  by Rafael Cennamo, from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, which featured navy blue detailing, especially at the banded waist. Ellie wore her red hair in loosely sculpted waves before finishing off her look with a red pout and sassy navy strappy sandals.

Bella Thorne‘s hair just keeps getting lighter and lighter! I’ve always been a fan of the rich red hair on  the “Shake It Up” starlet, but this pale shade is a bit lackluster against her fair complexion. It doesn’t help that her nude lace BCBGMAXAZRIA dress does nothing to add some lively color to her overall ensemble. She’s only fourteen though, so Bella totally gets away with playing with her party frock by updating it with a jewel-embellished belt and spike-embellished python printed ankle booties. | continue reading..

“Bridesmaids” actress Ellie Kemper turned out at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards last night to support her nominated film wearing a bright floral dress by Dolce & Gabbana.

The 32-year-old stepped out on the red carpet in a goldenrod, ruched silk dress with three-quarter sleeves and a scooped neckline. Featured throughout the design were big and bold floral prints in tonal pink and green shades.

Jayma Mays recently wore another version of this dress, but I think I like this one on Ellie just as much, if not more.

The striking prints popping off of the marigold hue look so pretty, and I’m not even a big fan of flower patterns. | continue reading..

Talk about a swanky soirèe!

Naeem Khan surrounded himself with some of his favorite gals in Hollywood at the private dinner thrown for the designer at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday.

Teresa Palmer of the upcoming film “Warm Bodies” arrived to the dinner looking pretty in a yellow sequined cocktail dress — from Khan’s Spring 2011 collection, that was covered in stunning pink hibiscus floral prints. She lathered on a lush red lip color to compliment the prints along with her matching oversize evening clutch.

“The Office” actress Ellie Kemper was the ‘lady in the red’ wearing this short sleeve scarlet cocktail dress to the Valentino 50th Anniversary and flagship store opening in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive on Tuesday night.

For once, I like Ellie’s hair since she got these new full bangs. It’s not overwhelming on her at all, which is really refreshing.

As for her outfit, it was a store opening — not an award show nor premiere, therefore I liked this. It was simple, it was pretty and was also probably very comfortable to spend the evening in. | continue reading..

Ellie Kemper shined in a fun and colorful dress as she posed with Sara Riff at The Hollywood Reporter & Jimmy Choo Inaugural 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon on Wednesday in West Hollywood.

The “Bridesmaids” actress,  in attendance with her stylist Jessica Paster, wore a cool cap-sleeve knee-length dress with a static print of black, white, purple and mint green from the Spring 2012 collection by Peter Pilotto.

She let the dress take center stage when she accessorized with a black patent clutch and matching pumps.

Her hair was the only thing I wasn’t into — I would rather have not seen the bangs curled with this look.

When Ellie Kemper hit the red carpet at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Tuesday night for the premiere of “21 Jump Street”, it was almost hard to believe that this was the same gal who donned that sultry gownat the Oscars last month.

Ellie went from ‘vixen’ to ‘party girl’ instantly with this gorgeous light pink blossom silk organza superposé appliqué flower dress by Oscar de la Renta that was cinched at the waist with a begonia alligator belt adorned with a metal ring.

She didn’t hold back on matching her accessories to her dress as she complimented the look with a pale manicure and a cotton candy-colored large envelope clutch.  I love it. | continue reading..

I want to love Ellie Kemper’s look from head-to-toe — but her blinding bangs are keeping me from doing so!

The 31-year-old “Bridesmaids” star totally rocked the red carpet at the 84th Annual Academy Awards last night in her Armani Privé gown, but her hairstyle was anything but bangin’. I mean really, can she see with those things?

With the exception of her refusal to sweep her bangs to the side — Ellie’s look was darn-near flawless. Her gold and topaz jewels from Lorraine Schwartz complimented her fiery strapless gown, which was embroidered with sequins in shades of scarlet, rust and gold. | continue reading..
