WHERE & WHEN: ELLE’s 20th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration on October 21, 2013.
WEARING: Elie Saab dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and jewelry from Norman Silverman & Demarco.
MY VERDICT: How cute was this new take on a summer picnic dress that Emmy wore to the Delta Air Lines Summer Celebration on Thursday night? The “Shameless” star wore a true navy, grey, white and coral plaid Rebecca Minkoff “Clara” bustier tweed dress with faceted jewel detail from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Claire Holt was recently spotted wearing an animal printed abstract version of this dress, but Minkoff’s patterns are so unique that Emmy’s dress actually looks almost totally different. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: Emmy looked beautiful in spring shades of green when she hit the red carpet for the “Hollywood” screening of the new season of her hit series “Shameless”. The brunette beauty wore an Oscar de la Renta peridot and lavender printed silk dress and belt from the Resort 2013 collection. If you’re having a bit of fashion déjà vu–that’s because Camilla Belle wore nearly the same dress to a New York Fashion Week event last year. | continue reading..
MY VERDICT: I don’t know how Emmy avoided looking like a sweaty mess in her gown under the sweltering Las Vegas sun, but the “Beautiful Creatures” actress looked effortlessly stunning in her beautiful Zuhair Murad gown for the Billboard Music Awards.
Emmy arrived on the blue carpet at the MGM Grand wearing the Fall 2013 long sleeve black velvet gown with a keyhole neckline and sheer polka-dot paneling throughout the sleeves, back, and sides of the skirt. I fell in love with this dress the first time I saw it, but if it were possible–Emmy just made me adore it even more. I love everything about it; from the hourglass shape it takes on to the tough balance of heavy fabric and light peek-a-boo panels.
Emmy completed her look with smouldering smoky eyes, ornate statement jewelry and a elegant up-do.
This is one of those dresses that ends up creating both a dramatic jaw-dropping entrance and an equally captivating exit.
MY VERDICT: Emmy was one of the many stars that decided to wear a really beautiful dress and add punk elements in later with hair and makeup. The “Shameless” actress arrived at the gala wearing a stunning one-of-a-kind Donna Karan Atelier platinum embroidered ravished lace gown with silver silk liquid lamé lining.
The v-neck gown was draped with tulle and featured exquisite beaded fringe along the back.
I can honestly say this is one of the nicest dresses I have ever seen Emmy wear, but it wasn’t punk to me. It was actually pretty far from it. It was obvious she tried to make up for the lack of rock influence by opting for structured dramatic eyeshadow and a braided hairstyle. I’m pretty sure she was going for a mohawk, but it would have been cooler if she had done it with buns.
Emmy finished with fishnet nail art, delicate Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, and cool webbed gunmetal jewelry from Irit Design.
MY VERDICT: Emmy looked lovely on the red carpet for a UNICEF hosted pre-Oscar brunch that celebrated the Limited Edition Collection by Montblanc. The “Beautiful Creatures” actress attended the daytime event wearing a pretty black and white rosette patterned evening dress by Naeem Khan, from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. I like that Emmy plucked the dark color from the pattern to help pick her strappy black sandals with a light platform.
I certainly prefer this to the nude strappy shoes worn on the runway. She finished with shiny cascading ringlet curls, long diamond earrings, and soft makeup; including a glossy rose pout. What a beautiful shade!
MY VERDICT: Emmy took in the greenery scenery when she stepped out in a elegant gown by Sophia Kokosalaki for the annual Global Green USA pre-Oscar bash. The “Beautiful Creatures” actress exuded confidence and grace in the silk long sleeve draped pale pink gown, which comes from the designer’s new Spring 2013 collection. I’ve always thought of this particular event as one of the more “relaxed” parties, so I feel like Emmy might be a bit over-dressed. But, guess what? I don’t care. She looks great! It was a throwback to old Hollywood that everyone tries to pull off, but very few ace it. A sculpted mane, red lips, and sparkling diamonds complete her look.
