Although she arrived to the celebration of her “FAME” fragrance launch event at Harrods on Sunday night wearing a simple and chic black gown, Lady Gaga certainly didn’t leave that way.

The “Marry the Night” singer emerged from the boutique in London wearing an Alexander McQueen black hairy calf and fur perforated dress with matching knee-high boots and gloves, from the Fall/Winter 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection.

She could have left it at that. It’s not as if it didn’t instantly grab attention.

Little surprises us when it comes to Lady Gaga’s extensive outlandish wardrobe, I mean, at this point — what won’t she wear? With the said, I was pleasantly surprised when the 26-year-old “Born This Way” singer hit the black carpet for the UK launch of her “FAME” fragrance at Harrods in London on Sunday.

Gaga arrived for the event looking very nice in a relativity simple black gown. She showed off her curves in a sleeveless wool floor-length dress from Azzedine Alaïa, which featured pin-tucking down the center and a pleated flutter hem. | continue reading..

Lily Donaldson hit the red carpet on Saturday in London to celebrate the summer sale at the Harrods department store.

The 24-year-old model rocked a Lanvin Spring 2012 two–tone one-shoulder techno stretch cocktail dress with crystal serpent detailing. You may remember Jessica Alba wearing this look earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week.

I still love this dress, though Lanvin has released several of Alber Elbaz’s designs since this presentation, and Lily looked great in it. She finished off with a smooth high ponytail and a pair of black pumps.

Earlier today Florence + the Machine performed at the opening of the Winter Sale at Harrods in London. Front-woman Florence Welch kept warm in head-to-toe Fall/Winter 2011 collection look by Chanel.

The look consisted of a smokey grey silk dress and a black sheer overlay with a black grosgrain ribbon banding over the bust. Additionally she wore black lace long arm gloves to get the same effect as on the model before draping on the intense knit floor-length cape. On the model the ruffled neckline is open, but it appears that Florence kept it tightly closed. She also opted for the black velvet pumps in favor of lace-up boots.

I’ve always thought of this ensemble as something that would be right up Flo’s alley. It took her a long time to get here, but I’m excited that she finally wore it. | continue reading..
