MY VERDICT: Jessie J rocked the BRIT Awards red carpet in a sexy long sleeve black silk-chiffon gown by Versace, which featured a plunging v-neck and a rising slit.  Who knew the singer that was famous for skintight embellished catsuits, spandex animal print dresses, and sheer panels with feathers would ever don something so fluid and simple-yet-sultry?  A gleaming gold belt sat at Jessie’s waist to break up the design; with such dramatic cuts going on, it was smart that she toned the rest down a bit with classic pointed toe “Anouk” pumps by Jimmy Choo and subtle golden tone makeup.  She completed her look with slinky straight tresses and gold jewelry from Susan Caplan.  Gorgeous! | continue reading..

Last night the stars from film, music and the catwalk hit the red carpet at the Royal Opera House for the 2012 GQ Men of the Year Awards to celebrate some of the finest men of the last year. Among the honorees were Dolce & Gabbana‘s Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for Designer of the Year, Aaron Sorkin for Writer of the Year, Tinie Tempah for Solo Artist of the Year, and of course, the Team Great Britain Olympians!

It’s officially been a week since the Queen’s Jubilee celebration in England, and that’s still all most of the people I know can talk about. In fact, the concert special will be airing tonight on American TV.

Jessie J performed at The Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace this past Monday with Will.i.Am from the Black Eyed Peas, who also happens to be a judge with her on the reality singing competition “The Voice UK”.

The 23-year-old popstar gushed about her performance all day via Twitter, and if you couldn’t tell by the epic smile on her face — it was definitely a proud moment for her.

Jessie J hit the red carpet last night in all black for the 2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Berkeley Square Gardens in London, England.

The 23-year-old “Dominio” singer wore a slinky black mesh, sequin pailette and fringe cocktail dress from the Spring 2012 collection by Julien Macdonald. It seems that a dark v-neck vest was added to the bodice of Jessie’s dress as it wasn’t seen on the runway model. I like the style on Jess so much more!

This outfit looked fantastic on her, and while her open toe Kat Maconie Velma ankle boots were a bit heavy, they didn’t weigh the look down and fit her eclectic style so well.

She finished off her look with a sleek hairstyle and gold jewelry, which picked up the metallic elements in her shoes.

Jessie took home the award for “Solo Artist of the Year”. Congrats!!

“Domino” singer Jessie J attended amfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS gala this evening, held during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival, wearing a daring red dress.

The 24-year-old arrived at the Hotel Du Cap in a Fall 2012 long-sleeve, leopard printed, velvet Louis Heal dress.

This is probably the most gorgeous shade of red I have ever seen!

I’m a sucker for leopard print, but while I like the color — especially on Jessie, I’m not really into the split across the chest nor the pairing of her black suede platform pumps.

She needed a sexy sandal or stiletto pump to pop out of that dangerously high slit.

Jess finished off her look with a wavy mane, scarlet red on her lips and nails, and a gold shimmering evening clutch.

Between her powerful vocal chords, sassy attitude and edgy look, British pop singer Jessie J is quickly taking over the American music and fashion scene.

For ELLE Magazine’s Women In Music event last Wednesday, the 23-year-old nixed her signature raven-black, sleek bob with blunt bangs and tested out the ombré trend with some extensions.

She’s certainly been making some noise over here in the states, but I was still shocked — yet pleased, to know that the talented Jessie J was included in this years VH1 Divas concert event.

The 23-year-old English R&B/pop-star arrived on the red carpet at the Hammerstein Ballroom last night for the “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul” concert in a daring dress from Falguni & Shane Peacock.

She’s such a fashion risk-taker, so I wasn’t surprised at all to see her in this black sheer long-sleeve dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection with gold and silver embroidered designs and open flap shoulder detail. To cover up personal areas, Jessie wore tight black shorts and a black bikini top underneath.

I noticed in some photos that she was wearing combat boots with the look, and I’m going to assume that’s because she’s still taking it easy on her foot (she broke it a few months ago!). Even while knowing that, I’m kind of disappointed that the calf-length dress was altered with an almost curtain-like hem. She recently wore a pair of gold oxford lace-up shoes to an event, she could have even worn those and left the dress in its original form. | continue reading..

It was an evening of rhythm and soul last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. VH1 held their annual VH1 Divas concert where the vocal talent — both legendary and new — of different genres came together on one stage for several unforgettable performances. For this years theme, “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul”, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence Welch (of Florence + The Machine), Kelly Clarkson and Jessie J headlined the event and took the stage with the likes of Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Boyz II Men, Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius and Travie McCoy.

Jennifer Hudson arrived on the red carpet decked out in a head-to-toe look from Francesco Scognamiglio‘s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. The 30-year-old singer (and Weight Watchers spokeswoman) looked slimmer than ever in this shimmering three-quarter length sleeve dress. Her particular design was not seen on the catwalk; Jenn’s featured a shiny stretchy fabric and thicker lace ruffled embroidery at the neckline.

In addition to the dress, Jenn rocked an insane pair of glittery banded thigh-high boots from the collection! I like the boots more than the dress on her, but I think they were better suited for one of the performances rather than the carpet. I would have loved to have gotten a great view of the heel during the show.
