Keke Palmer in Pamella Roland | UNCF 33rd Annual An Evening With The Stars

Keke Palmer looked fabulous in a pumped up purple cocktail dress when she hit the red carpet last weekend to attend the UNCF’s 33rd annual An Evening with the Stars at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

The 19-year-old actress wore a Pamella Roland plum and black jacquard mock-neck dress with drop-waist full skirt.  This sassy straight-from-the-runway design comes from Roland’s beloved Fall/Winter 2012 collection.  I adore the rich and regal color on Keke, and I’m glad she didn’t distract from the neckline design by leaving her hair out.

She loosely swept it up for a sweet ‘undone’ look.

Keke’s makeup artist gave her slightly sultry smoky eyes using greys and plums, which balanced out with her peach tinged cheeks and nude lips.  She accessorized with a black clutch and pointed toe wedge pumps that brought out the detail in her dress, before finishing off with onyx-black and diamond jewelry.  I really liked this look on her!  The shape of the dress was great for her height and frame, and all of the accessories worked as a perfect unit.

What did you think of Keke’s fancy purple dress?

2012 Do Something Awards: A Fashion Round-Up

2012 Do Something Awards: A Fashion Round-UpL-R: Ellie Kemper, Bella Thorne, Olivia Munn and Claudia Lee. | Photos: Zimbio
The Fashion Court caught you up with some of the hottest dresses from your favorite stars on the blue carpet for the 2012 Do Something Awards, hosted by DoSomething.Org and VH1 in Hollywood. But, there were a few other note-worthy looks that I didn’t want to go unnoticed.

Let’s break them down here, shall we?

Ellie Kemper looked so cute when she arrived for the awards ceremony in this printed a-line party dress. The “21 Jump Street” actress selected a gold metallic cocktail dress  by Rafael Cennamo, from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, which featured navy blue detailing, especially at the banded waist. Ellie wore her red hair in loosely sculpted waves before finishing off her look with a red pout and sassy navy strappy sandals.

Bella Thorne‘s hair just keeps getting lighter and lighter! I’ve always been a fan of the rich red hair on  the “Shake It Up” starlet, but this pale shade is a bit lackluster against her fair complexion. It doesn’t help that her nude lace BCBGMAXAZRIA dress does nothing to add some lively color to her overall ensemble. She’s only fourteen though, so Bella totally gets away with playing with her party frock by updating it with a jewel-embellished belt and spike-embellished python printed ankle booties. | continue reading..

Keke Palmer had two opportunities to rock a cute outfit on Saturday night when she attended the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Hollywood.

The 19-year-old “Joyful Noise” actress performed during the pre-show wearing a 1980′s retro look designed by Katy Rodriguez that consisted of a Spring 2010 long-sleeve black knit top over a cropped hot pink thin strap bandeau top. Keke paired this with a black and violet taffeta full “Fancy” skirt from the Fall 2009 collection.

Keke stayed comfortable while she performed by wearing a black suede pair of “Calcagni” platform wedges from ALDO. | continue reading..

It was all about vibrant dresses at the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards — you would think spring was already upon us!

Keke Palmer arrived at the Shrine Auditorium on Friday night in a strapless hot pink cocktail gown from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection by Naven. The high rise front hem showed off her shimmery champagne Stuart Weitzman sandals while a lovely train followed behind her.

I love the way she wore it as it was energetic, young and fresh — all of which were perfect for Keke’s red carpet look. | continue reading..

I can’t wait to see Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton’s new movie “Joyful Noise” this month, but I could have done without some of these looks the black carpet premiere. The cast arrived at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre last night in Hollywood, and this is what occurred…

Keke Palmer arrived in a pretty embellished short sleeve Plein Sud dress, but it was her cream-colored pumps that totally killed it for me. She could have had a better result with a pair of “Pigalle” pumps by Christian Louboutin because the point on these were too long. I know some people are into really long points, but they drive me nuts. This could have been a great look for her, but the bee-hive resembling bun she has going on is another buzz kill. | continue reading..
