The annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala is arguably the biggest fashion event of the year, and this time around, the fête honored the opening of the PUNK: Chaos to Couture exhibition with a punk-themed party. “Warm Bodies” actress TERESA PALMER hit the red carpet in a dress to match, which was custom-designed for her by Diane von Furstenberg.

Although the plunging neck gown and dazzling diamonds were much more on the glamorous side, the Australian beauty didn’t hold back when it came to her makeup and hair.

TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist JOHN D. gave Teresa’s long golden mane a mussed appearance before sharply braiding one side. It was a cool faux attempt at the trendy-yet-edgy half-shaved head look, which instantly gave her locks a toughened up twist. As for her makeup, JO BAKER gave Teresa bold “bad gal brows” that were complimented by a dewy complexion and glossy taupe lips.

TERESA PALMER looked stunning in her black lace Philip Armstrong gown at the Hollywood premiere of her new zombie romance movie “Warm Bodies”.  As her long golden locks fell freely over the dark and elegant dress, Teresa drew focus to her bright eyes that smouldered with a metallic violet shadow.  Celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis worked with the star, and was inspired to give her an intense eye that was surrounded by radiant skin.  “I wanted to create fresh skin with sexy smoky eyes to compliment her striking and bold dress,” Melanie explained.

CATE BLANCHETT looked so ethereal on the green carpet for the royal performance of ” The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” in London!  The Australian beauty wore head-to-toe Givenchy, which was complimented with a chignon and a flawless makeup palette.  Makeup artist Mary Greenwell teamed up with Cate for the evening and shared her step-by-step process for getting Cate ready with The Fashion Court!

“The gown that Cate wore at the premiere demanded nothing more than simplicity. It was striking, futuristic, but demure and showed her lovely back with a high neckline in front. Strong makeup would have taken away from the elegant that is her signature, and the naturalness of her beauty,” Mary explained.

LESLIE MANN rocked the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of “This Is 40″ in a cool color-block gown and a playful Cinderella-esque up ‘do.  Leslie worked with makeup artist Georgie Eisdell to ensure a beautiful and fresh palette, which would further compliment her look rather than overpower it.

Georgie shared her tips and the products she used on Leslie, and we’re totally obsessing over these lip colors!

“For the premiere of This is 40, I wanted Leslie’s look to have a radiance about it,  keeping with her personality.  I also wanted to encapsulate her natural beauty and give it an edge,” Georgie explained her beauty inspiration for Leslie!

We’ve seen rock ‘n roll edge from Kristen countless times, but she might have just saved her sexiness, most refulgent look for the finale of the epic saga that made her a household name. It’s KRISTEN STEWARTlike you’ve never seen before!

For the second New York City private screening of her latest movie “On The Road”, make-up artist Beau Nelson, once again, gave her a new look. Back in September, Kristen rocked model-perfect cheekbones, but this time around he gave her a futuristic superhero smoky cat-eye to compliment the black leather body-con dress by A.L.C. that she was clad in.

One of the ways Beau made this intense style work was by leaving the rest of her face neutral to allow the eyes to pop.

“I’ve done smoky eyes on Kristen about a hundred different ways, so I wanted to do something a little unique. I created a smoky, almost cat eye shape only on the top—no liner or shadow on the bottom lash line. This resulted in a more modern take on a smoky black eye,” Beau explained.

“The Good Wife” actress worked with her make-up artist Beau Nelson to create a glamorous yet natural look for the red carpet.

“For Archie I wanted to showcase her natural beauty. The colors I chose to work with all exist naturally in Archie’s skin, I just enhanced them to create a more dramatic, almost exaggerated natural look,” Beau explained his inspiration.
