MY VERDICT: Chloe pulled out her best LBD for the Vanity Fair party when she selected this long sleeve silk dress from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection by Christian Dior.  The fit-and-flare design featured a cropped top effect over a high-waisted full skirt adorned by a delicate thin bow belt.  Of all the Dior dresses the newly  turned 16-year-old could have worn, it’s nice to see that she opted for one of the most youthful.  This sophisticated party ensemble suited Chloe very well. They work fine, but I kind of wish the “Carrie” starlet had passed on the classic nude pointed toe pumps in favor of some skinny strap black sandals.  She polished it all off with swept waves, smouldering smoky eyes, and a perfect nude pout. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Freida opted for a funky party look when she slipped into the scuba full-skirted graphic dress from Antonio Berardi‘s Spring 2013 collection.  The blue, white, and black perforated design is really fun and totally hip, therefore it naturally required low-maintenance hair, anything but a classic pump, and a major cutback on accessories.  Thankfully, Freida complied with all of that.  She wore her long dark hair up in a high glossy ponytail before simply finishing off her look with flawless makeup and a pair of metallic “Evie” ankle strap open toe pumps by Brian Atwood. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Holy Moly Debby! Can we talk about how absolutely fabulous the “Jessie” star looked at this Vanity Fair bash wearing a gorgeous sparkling Naeem Khan dress? The 19-year-old actress selected the short sleeve embroidered gold design from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, which features an a-line skirt silhouette and a deep notched neckline that showed off her décolletage.  Thankfully, it was just enough—something many of Hollywood has trouble finding the fine line with.  With such a bold frock, Debby complimented it with unembellished gold sandals and matching jewelry with a bit of seafoam mixed in.

Glamorous golden makeup paired with an elegant “sock bun” helped the lovely ginger-haired lady complete her look.

I loved it from head-to-toe!

KERRY WASHINGTON was quite the stunner at this year’s 40th anniversary of the American Music Awards as she stepped out on the red carpet in Hollywood wearing a sexy fringed yellow Stella McCartney dress and colorfully bright coral pumps. The “Scandal” actress kept the look very playful though, and with help from her hairstylist Marcus Francis, Kerry was rocking a flirty faux bob ‘do of bouncing curls!

It’s KRISTEN STEWARTlike you’ve never seen before!

For the second New York City private screening of her latest movie “On The Road”, make-up artist Beau Nelson, once again, gave her a new look. Back in September, Kristen rocked model-perfect cheekbones, but this time around he gave her a futuristic superhero smoky cat-eye to compliment the black leather body-con dress by A.L.C. that she was clad in.

One of the ways Beau made this intense style work was by leaving the rest of her face neutral to allow the eyes to pop.

“I’ve done smoky eyes on Kristen about a hundred different ways, so I wanted to do something a little unique. I created a smoky, almost cat eye shape only on the top—no liner or shadow on the bottom lash line. This resulted in a more modern take on a smoky black eye,” Beau explained.

“Jessica’s dress was classic and made a huge statement in an effortless way. We thought the hair needed to have a polished finish and strong silhouette, keeping it timeless like that of Grace Kelly,” her hairstylist Marcus Francis explained.

“On damp hair apply Phtyo Volume Actif Spray from roots to ends.  Choose the side opposite your natural to determine which direction to style the hair. This gives you more lift at the front.

To achieve the most lasting volume for this look, you’ll want to set the hair twice. Using a small vented round brush blow dry the hair pinning each section in a pin curl. Once the whole head is set, wait ten minutes before taking out the puns and brushing out. | continue reading..

Aubrey Plaza rocked a bold floral dress last Friday night when she stepped out for the annual Entertainment Weekly pre-Emmy party, held at Fig & Olive Melrose Place in West Hollywood and presented by L’Oreal Paris.

The “Parks and Recreation” star arrived on the golden carpet wearing sleeveless black-and-red floral jacquard A-line dress with a pointed collar from the Fall 2012 collection by Rodarte.

I like the Aubrey wore her hair off to show off the sharp detail of her collar, and her shoes were the perfect fit. I think a pump would have been predictable and anything with thick straps could have ended up a distraction.
