Elizabeth Banks shimmered to perfection when she hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles Film Festival premiere of “People Like Us” in a mosaic cutout cocktail dress by J. Mendel.

With a swept up sculpted mane and bold jewelry, makeup artist Fiona Stiles helped Liz put the finishing touches on her fabulous ensemble with a complimenting – yet – non-overpowering beauty look. “Elizabeth has been a busy bee this year! This was our fourth or fifth red carpet event this year so far. I love getting to make her up – she loves clothes, loves makeup and always wants to play with her look. For the premiere, a simple but strong look was what we were going for.”

“I prepped the skin with Yon-Ka Pamplemousse moisturizer, and used Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 8.5 as a base, topped with a bit of CHANEL Natural Finish Loose Powder in #30. I contoured her cheeks with INGLOT AMC Cream Blush #94, and added a touch of Benefit Sunbeam as a highlighter. | continue reading..

Kirsten Dunst looked beautiful at the photocall and press conference for her film “On The Road” during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival earlier this month.

The 30-year-old actress rocked a 3D lace white cocktail dress from Dolce & Gabbana with creamy pumps and a pretty floral headpiece woven into her braided hairstyle. Everything was so feminine and soft about her look that her light make-up palette complimented the mid-morning chic ensemble.

Kirsten’s makeup artist Adam Breuchaud was inspired to create a “soft sculpted eye and brow for this demure daytime look.”

“Silky luminous beige and rusty rose reflect the light and help open up the eye,” so after applying shadow in those soft colors he lifted and defined her lashes using Diorshow Blackout Mascara. Adam then groomed Kirsten’s brows with MAC Eye Brows Crayon in ‘Fling’ before brushing though them with the Dior Brow Gel. These steps helped shape the finish. | continue reading..

Zooey Deschanelselected a bold lip for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards!

The “New Girl” actress didn’t wear a siren red or a vibrant hot pink with her metallic shift dress; she opted for something of the citrus variety as she lathered on a juicy orange color.

Zooey’s make-up artist Homa Safar helped her create this look using the Aqua Lip Liner from Make Up For Ever in a bright orange before layering on the orange LipMix by M.A.C. Cosmetics.

This is a risky color to try, but in the midst of the neon trend, it’s not surprising to want some fluorescent incorporated into your everyday style.

If you’re too nervous to go full-on tangerine, there are equally luxe shades in coral that can be a safe bet.

All eyes were on Kristen Stewart at the London premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” on November 16th when the 21-year-old actress arrived on the white carpet at Westfield Stratford City in a gorgeous black sequin and bead-embellished gown by Roberto Cavalli.

Taking a closer look, it became obvious that her make-up was just as glam as her dress! In no time at all, Kristen fans — and beauty enthusiast alike — began seeking out the colors and tips on how to achieve her dramatic metallic smokey eye.

London based make-up artist Emma Kotch, the woman responsible for getting Kristen ready-carpet-ready, was kind enough to share the secrets behind Kristen’s vampy look at the premiere with The Fashion Court!

First things first — to create a base Emma covered blemishes evenly using Laura Mercier‘s fantastic ‘Secret Camouflage’ concealer in “SC-2″ ($28) before applying Dior‘s ‘Skinflash Radiance’ booster pen ($37 ea.) in both “Roseglow 001” and “Candle Light 002”. This amazing tool from Dior is a fully covering lightweight concealer that takes only one click and stroke to immediately diminish the dark shadows beneath the eyes. | continue reading..
