MY VERDICT: How beautiful does Nina look in blue? The 24-year-old “Vampire Diaries” actress posed on the black carpet at the New York 2013 Upfront presentation for the CW Network wearing a slim-fitting sky blue Versace sheath dress with cool black-bordered grommet detailing separating the design; the two pieces stayed linked together by silver rings. It’s such a small element, but makes quite an impact on an otherwise classic silhouette.

This is the second Versace dress we’ve seen Nina wear this month, but it’s my favorite as it flattered her lean figure while the color highlighted sun-kissed skin. Nina was also clearly having a great hair day with layered locks were styled in full shiny waves. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I was apprehensive as to whether or not Nina could out-do her black and gold gown from last year, but boy was I blown away by the direction she took tonight. The “Vampire Diaries” actress properly balanced punk and glam to live up to the “Chaos to Couture” theme. Nina rocked the red carpet in a custom-made Monique Lhuillier black Chantilly lace molded bustier jumpsuit with black leather harness tulle overskirt with horsehair trim. The biggest fashion event of the year is finally here! The red carpet will be filled with all types of punk rock glam this Monday night for the 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala where your favorite heavy-hitters in fashion, music, film and television will mingle at the stylish fête. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci will be hosting the VOGUE soirèe that has been officially themed “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” to honor the latest exhibition at the mueseum.

MY VERDICT: Nina looked beautifully fresh faced when she celebrated the launch of the new GinZing energy-boosting moisturizer by Origins in New York City. The “Vampire Diaries” star also showed off sun-kissed glow from a recent beach vacation with a cool peek-a-boo belly-baring dress by Thakoon. Nina slipped on a look from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection; a full black skirt connected to a white halterneck top covered in black floral stencils, which features a v-neckline to match the upper-cut bottom. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Nina was quite the golden girl on the black carpet for the New York premiere of “The Great Gatsby”. The 24-year-old actress stunned in a black Versace cocktail dress with all-over gold studded embellishing that created a beautiful mosaic pattern on both the front and back of the frock. The knee length slim fit flattered Nina’s long, lean figure while balancing out with a gold pair of “Elba” pumps from Rupert Sanderson. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Nina must seriously treat every red carpet like her own personal catwalk because this girl continues to look fantastic from head-to-toe everywhere she goes.  The “Perks of Being a Wallflower” actress arrived for the John Varvatos 10th annual Stuart House Benefit in Los Angeles in a beautiful fit-and-flare Elie Saab Spring 2013 dress; a cream and grey sleeveless cocktail design with lace bust detail and a ladylike tiered skirt that hit just below the knee.  This was a flattering shape for Nina’s long lithe figure that didn’t overwhelm her frame, and was ‘dressy’ enough for the daytime event without being overdone.

She accessorized with complimenting light grey Pollini t-strap sandals and a silver Jimmy Choo clutch.  Nina was clearly having a great hair day, and as for her makeup? Flawless.

MY VERDICT: All hail Nina Dobrev!  I’m mean, let’s be real, there’s no denying that the “Perks of Being a Wallflower” actress worked the heck out of the white carpet at Elton John’s annual Oscar viewing party in her black and white patterned Naeem Khan gown.  These photos speak for themselves.  Nina meant business in the Fall 2013 design, which featured a high neck and plunging open back.  I wasn’t a big fan of the sheerness on the runway, so it was nice to see that it wasn’t as intense on her.

As a big fan of elegant ponytails, I was thrilled to see that she took this approach and rocked a high pony with swept back bangs that gave a little effortless volume to the front of her hair.  Nina accessorized with a delicate pair of pretty long Chopard earrings, and carried a black and white Swarovski envelope clutch that added a cool contrast to her dress while also complimenting in color.  In fact, I really like how they match up to each other.  She finished with flawless makeup, which included major sultry smoky eyes and a glossy pout.

What. A. Knockout.

This marks the second year that Nina attended the bash, and this time around was even better than the first.

MY VERDICT: After an electric appearance at the SAG Awards, and two more fabulous moments during the Super Bowl recently, Nina hit another high note at the Indie Spirit Awards this year as she supported her film “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”.  The 24-year-old actress showed off her mile-long legs in a super sassy golden Spring 2013 outfit by Michael Kors.  Nina wore an optic white shell top with gold embroidery and matching optic white shorts that she completed with a gold mirrored belt.  I can’t decide if I like the belt at the narrow part of her waist or up higher as it is on the model, but I certainly know that I absolutely love this look for her.  She polished off the spring-ready ensemble with a high ponytail, smoky bronze eyes, and a pair of strappy gold Jimmy Choo sandals.  I’m still digging those new bangs!  A++

MY VERDICT: After a knock-out blue cocktail dress for the NFL Honors, Nina hit the oceanic carpet in a flirty little LBD by French Connection.  The “Vampire Diaries” starlet arrived for the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night, which featured a performance from Justin Timberlake (jealous!), wearing the “Alicia” flared dress with cap sleeves and a rounded neck with a lace inset.  Nina accented the dress with the “Tempset” ribbon chain Stella & Dot statement necklace, before completing her party look with black satin pumps and long swept waves.  Simple, comfortable, and beautiful. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: When I checked out the events from tonight’s pre-Super Bowl festivities in New Orleans, I have to say that Nina was the brightest moment for me. The “Vampire Diaries” star hit yet another red carpet high note when she stepped out for the 2013 NFL Honors wearing an adorable little light blue dress by Zuhair Murad. The Spring 2013 design features a lace bodice with a printed layered silk skirt. Although Nina left out the silver belt it didn’t hurt the design for me, and I like how she filled the missing gap with a silver clutch and matching glitter platform “Raven” sandals–both from Jimmy Choo. | continue reading..
