2013 Golden Globe Awards – WISH LIST

2013 Golden Globe Awards - WISH LISTPhoto via GoldenGlobes.org

In less than 24hrs some of the biggest stars in television and film will walk the red carpet for the 70th Annual Golden Globes Awards in Hollywood, but what will they be wearing?  In comes The Fashion Court: Wish List, with a selection of pretty gowns that I could picture on several of the stars who will be attending. I obviously couldn’t ‘dress’ all of the nominees and presenters, or else this post would take you over an hour to read, but you’ll find eighteen of your favorites below.

Now, I know how these shows work; I imagine a good 50% of the stars will be in custom made dresses, especially some of the stars included in this list. That doesn’t mean I can’t have my fun, of course. ;-)

For quick designer ID coverage of who’s-wearing-what during the live red carpet, make sure you’re following my tweets on both @courtjustice and @TheFashionCourt. Once all the stars are inside for the big show, come back here for all the fashion recaps! | continue reading..

2012 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments – The Innocent

2012 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments - The Innocent

It’s that time again! 2012 was a big year in style, and it felt almost nearly impossible to pick the most fashionable stars—but it had to be done. There were a lot of fabulous moments, but not every star stayed consistent. For my year end countdown below, I selected 20 celebrities—male and female, that I felt stood out the most. Did any of your favorites make the cut?

20. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
There was no slow start to a year of style for Joseph, who kicked his red carpet moments off with a dapper look at the Golden Globe Awards in January. I really liked the satin trim of his tuxedo, but it was obviously the printed bow tie that stole the show. Throughout the next twelve months, JGL continued to thrive with his choices that were filled with character; from pinstripes to a totally fashion-forward chocolate velvet tartan Alexander McQueen suit for a talk show appearance. I particularly liked the way he partnered a three piece navy suit with a coordinating plaid shirt. Seriously, how could he not make this list?

Robert Pattinson in McQ Alexander McQueen & Taylor Lautner in John Varvatos | NBC’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”

I originally posted about Robert Pattinson wearing a McQ Alexander McQueen bomber jacket on my Facebook page earlier this month while he was en-route to a late night talk show interview, but the truth is, the English actor simply hadn’t changed from what he wore during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that was taped earlier in the day!

Before embarking on an international press tour, Rob did a joint interview with his costar Taylor Lautner—which aired on November 9th, to promote “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ and ended up talking to Ellen about everything from pets to giving Tay’s on-screen character a Chippendale’s makeover. Yes, they went there. Sadly, they didn’t dance. | continue reading..

Kristen Stewart in Alternative Apparel & Rebecca Minkoff | “El Hormiguero”

Kristen Stewart wore a spike-embellished dress for a photocall and a bright yellow mini during her time in Madrid this week, but I have to say my favorite look of all was what she wore during an appearance on the variety show “El Hormiguero”. This was her first time back since promoting “Snow White and the Huntsman” earlier this year.

The 22-year-old beauty bared some serious leg in a pair of leather panel shorts and sexy printed heels when she joined her Twi-castmates Robert Pattinson (in McQ Alexander McQueen) and Taylor Lautner on Thursday to chat about “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″.  On the show, the trio talked “Twilight”, watched a magic trick and played a funny game where they had to be blindfolded and hit a buzzer at exactly thirty seconds to prevent a contestant from being slimed.

Kristen wore a vintage black Alternative Apparel “The Disheveled Sicily” linen crop sweatshirt that she tucked into a pair of black-on-black Rebecca Minkoff “Alex” leather ponte shorts.  | continue reading..

Robert Pattinson in Burberry | “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ Berlin Premiere

Robert Pattinson bid a final farewell to his time as Edward Cullen with the last premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″, which was held in Berlin, Germany this evening at CineStar.

The 26-year-old English actor, once again, looked devastatingly handsome wearing a Burberry suit in a color I’m sure his vampire alter-ego would appreciate—icy grey. I like the shade of the two-button and notched lapel suit, but I think what really made it work for me was the shine given off by his pale silver dress shirt and black tie that matched his buttons and shoes.

He also wore a suit from the British fashion label to the London premiere and for a New York appearance. | continue reading..

A little bit of color goes a long way—just ask Robert Pattinson, who attended the Madrid premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ tonight in a dapper grey suit with some rich pops of color!

Rob has been consistently worth watching the entire duration of this press tour, and although it’s winding down now, his dashing flair has not waned.  This dark grey, lightly plaid three-piece suit by Dolce & Gabbana was a very suave choice for him. The two button peaked lapel jacket, matching vest and trousers were strikingly paired with a steel blue-grey dress shirt and a delicious maroon tie for elegant finish. | continue reading..

Robert Pattinson sure knows how to liven up a ultra-dark ensemble!

The 26-year-old will no doubt be suiting up to perfection later on today for the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ premiere in Madrid, Spain—but, first up: the photocall. Rob joined his Twi-mates Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on the black carpet for a press conference at the Villa Magna Hotel this morning where he donned a little plaid and a lot of leather.

Rob is wearing a fall-ready red McQ Alexander McQueen Patchwork Polo with yellow and black worked into the mix, including the contrasting collar. This tartan print was the perfect element to pop out of his dark Lanvin bomber jacket with a black leather base and back panel connected to navy wool sleeves and accents | continue reading..

Robert Pattinson in Burberry | “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ London Premiere

After raising the fashion bar for every man in Hollywood a little bit higher on Monday night with an emerald green micro houndstooth suit, Robert Pattinson returned to his darker ways at the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″, held this evening at Leicester Square in his native London, England.

Rob hit the red carpet wearing a sophisticated mahogany red tailored Burberry slim fit “Glen” check wool suit; a two-button notch lapel closely fitted jacket with matching narrow tapered flat-front trousers that he paired with a heathered grey dress shirt and a skinny charcoal tie.  There wasn’t anything actually ground-breaking about the suit itself compared to what he did earlier in the week—but this rich color is outstanding; it suited him—and it just reiterated the fact that he should wear designs from the British fashion house much more. | continue reading..

Robert Pattinson in Gucci | “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ LA Premiere

My Twitter feed practically shut down due to the amount of messages that came in from my readers letting me know that Robert Pattinson had arrived at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live tonight for premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ …wearing GREEN!  You guys!!!!! I could make a thousand red carpet wish lists, but you all know my greatest fashion wish for Robert has been to see him finally grace the red carpet in a green suit.

I’m thinking he’s reading The Fashion Court, because not only did he finally do so—he had it custom made and wore it for the Hollywood premiere of the final “Twilight” movie! In actuality, the incredibly handsome English actor spoke out on the black carpet about how he had recently dreamed up wearing an emerald green houndstooth printed suit, and was obviously so inspired that he had Gucci create it for him to wear on this very special night. He knows what works for him, I dig it. | continue reading..

Robert Pattinson in Kenzo | “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”

Robert Pattinson was in upbeat spirits and sported an infectious smile tonight for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”!

Last time the 26-year-old actor was on the show, he kept it somewhat casual in a black suit and henley top, but this time around, Rob opted for a classic look by selecting a earthy grey-green two button jacket and trousers by Kenzo.  I wish he had left the jacket buttoned—at least until he sat down, and there’s too much bunching at his ankles.

With that said, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of this…

What’s up with that light grey shirt and black tie with gold diagonal stripes? | continue reading..
