MINDY KALING had a solid vision in mind when getting ready for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards, so she and her make-up artist Kindra Mann turned to her favorite beauty magazines when prepping her face for the red carpet.

“We wanted to channel a modern version of Bianca Jagger when she was on the cover of Vogue in 1974, but with a more appropriate red carpet twist,” explained Kindra.

“I prepped Mindy’s skin with Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum and then applied a thin layer of Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer.  Using Shiseido’s Perfect Foundation Brush I applied Shiseido’s Dual Balancing Foundation in Deep Ochre. | continue reading..

KRISTEN STEWART wasn’t caught at the Teen Choice Awards doing a dance inspired by the Keri Hilston hit pop song — but she seriously had a pretty girl “rocker chic” look going on last night when she stepped out on the TCA stage to accept the “Ultimate Choice” award with Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. Dressed in a printed Roberto Cavalli jacket and black leather pants, Kristen added bright hues of blue to contrast with the monochromatic elements of her outfit.

The 22-year-old actress was sporting sparkling blue eyes which, according to her makeup artist JILLIAN DEMPSEY, was achieved by playing up Kristen’s famously intense peepers by building luminosity. Kirsten Dunst looked beautiful at the photocall and press conference for her film “On The Road” during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival earlier this month.

The 30-year-old actress rocked a 3D lace white cocktail dress from Dolce & Gabbana with creamy pumps and a pretty floral headpiece woven into her braided hairstyle. Everything was so feminine and soft about her look that her light make-up palette complimented the mid-morning chic ensemble.

Kirsten’s makeup artist Adam Breuchaud was inspired to create a “soft sculpted eye and brow for this demure daytime look.”

“Silky luminous beige and rusty rose reflect the light and help open up the eye,” so after applying shadow in those soft colors he lifted and defined her lashes using Diorshow Blackout Mascara. Adam then groomed Kirsten’s brows with MAC Eye Brows Crayon in ‘Fling’ before brushing though them with the Dior Brow Gel. These steps helped shape the finish. | continue reading..
