WHO: Kristen Bell WHERE & WHEN: 2014 Variety Breakthrough Of The Year Awards on January 9, 2014. WEARING: Yigal Azrouël dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes & a Edie Parker clutch.
WHO: Charlize Theron WHERE & WHEN: Variety's 5th Annual Power of Women Event on October 4, 2013. WEARING: Stella McCartney dress and clutch, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes MY VERDICT: Charlize covered up an injury in style when she hit the white carpet today for Variety's "Power of Women" soirèe. The "Mad Max: Fury Road" actress recently had surgery on her neck and hid the band-aid with the help of the high-neck collar on her little white Stella McCartney dress. This drop arm mini was my favorite look from the English designer's Resort 2014 collection, and I'm thrilled that Charlize was the one to nab it. Although I prefer the single neckline detail seen on the model, the cutout look done for Charlize was both clever and cute.
WHO: Julie Bowen WHERE & WHEN: Variety & Women In Film Pre-Emmy Event on September 20, 2013. WEARING: Oscar de la Renta dress, Rupert Sanderson shoes MY VERDICT: Julie celebrated the Primetime Emmy Awards this weekend by stepping out at a pre-event hosted by Variety and Women in Film. The “Modern Family” actress wore a tea-length Oscar de la Renta black sleeveless a-line dress that was fully embroidered with a white floral pattern. I’m a hard one to win over with floral prints, but I think Julie handled the silhouette and pattern pretty well.
It was double the Valentino, double the fun for Keira Knightley last night when she celebrated her new movie "Anna Karenina" with two exclusive screenings in New York City wearing designs from the latest collections by the beloved fashion house. Before the English beauty joined her costars in couture, she attended a private showing during the 2012 Variety Screening Series wearing a lovely knee-length frock from the Spring 2013 collection. Keira selected Look 22, a short-sleeve black silk sheer dress with lace lining and nude embroidery that matched the solid peter pan collar.
Jessica Biel rocked some ruffles when she stepped out for Variety's 4th annual Power of Women event on Friday afternoon in Beverly Hills, where she was honored for her charitable work at the Lifetime presented gala. The 30-year-old actress kind of surprised me by not showing up in white, which the bride-to-be has been opting for a lot of lately. Jessica wore shades of black, blue and green that started with her black floral printed silk georgette long-sleeve wrapped cocktail dress with ruffle trim from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection by Gucci. Yes, this is the same dress that Kristen Stewart wore for the October cover of British Vogue.
