Ah, I just love when my favorite looks get worn on the red carpet!

Katharine McPhee joined her co-stars last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to celebrate their new NBC television series “Smash” with a premiere hosted by NBC Entertainment & The Cinema Society with Volvo.

The 27-year-old actress wore a gorgeous tea-length cocktail dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Donna Karan.

I love the color-blocking of this design; a v-neck wrapped sleeveless silk satin white bodice with a glamorous full black skirt that’s pulled together with such an eye-catching and ultra-feminine navy blue oversize bow. | continue reading..

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick arrived on the red carpet tonight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the New York premiere of the new NBC television series “Smash” — which was hosted by NBC Entertainment & The Cinema Society with Volvo.

Adding a little glitz to the evening, SJP wore a navy blue, silver, gold and white wavy striped calf-length sequined dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Tory Burch. Due to the chilly January weather she layered on a beautiful navy blue velvet Yves Saint Laurent blazer and defined her waist with a studded brown belt.
