Taylor Swift was in New York City tonight where she was honored at the Capitale for Billboard’s sixth annual “Women in Music” event. When I saw photos of her arriving, I noticed two very big changes to her look. First off all, her signature curly locks were — not only straightened — but layered with full bangs to finish off!

I love, love, love her hair! This may be her best look. I’m hoping to be treated to this for a few more events before she reverts to the same ol’ style.

In addition to my love for her hair, I was equally excited over her rose poly gossamer chiffon draped dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Oscar de la Renta — which was nipped at the waist with a matching red leather belt.

Who doesn’t love a sparkly dress? I definitely dig ‘em1 But, there’s always room for “simply chic”, and that’s what Taylor had going on tonight. This was refreshing considering I always see her in something sequined. Wowza… this was unexpected.

Is it possible that Nicki Minaj could be taking a break from her outrageous outfits and going forth on a ready-to-wear fashionable route? Even if only temporary, I’m liking her abrupt change. Recently she donned an Oscar de la Renta gown for the American Music Awards, but tonight she went for a sleek and sexy Versace number.

Nicki walked the red carpet at Capitale in New York City for Billboard’s sixth annual “Women in Music” event wearing a black and white grommet stud floor-length dress from the Resort 2012 collection.

She often likes to show off her curves and assets, but sometimes gives us more than an eyeful. This time she drew attention to her bodice and showcased her hour-glass figure while simultaneously trimming her physique. The waved graphics on the dress gave the illusion of a trimmer waist.
