Making her
VOGUE Magazine debut, “The Amazing Spider-Man” star
EMMA STONE covers the July 2012 issue, lens by
Mario Testino, wearing negligee-looking
Nina Ricciivory and pale pink silk-and-wool dress with lacy black elements and a wool-tweed coat from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection.
Tonne Goodman styled Emma for the cover shoot and helped her accessorize the light colored pieces with sparkling star earrings by H. Stern, while hairstylist Christiaan gave her blonde mane a relaxed, partially swept feel and makeup artist Linda Cantello carefully lined her eyes to really pop yet kept her pout on the pale side.
For the editorial, Emma played the androgynous look by suiting up in patterned menswear-inspired outfits as well as a few sassy — and slinky — frocks from designer collections like Prada, Versus, Jil Sander, and Givenchy. “This is what fashion does for people,” Stone says. “It makes them feel like it’s an extension of themselves.”
Inside the issue, Emma talked to Nathan Heller about the latest Spider-Man flick, her idols (which include Diane Keaton, by the way), and finding the balance between drama and comedy in her acting career.
See all of Emma’s many looks below!
A top hat-clad Emma wears a crushed eggplant-colored velvet suit from
Ralph Lauren Collection and a purple pocket square (worn as a scarf) with a printed silk
Rochas blouse, a
Charvet circle-print tie, an oversize
Marni daisy pin.
Her top hat is by Albertus Swanepoel and available at Barneys.
Emma wears a beautiful one sleeve lace top and a chartreuse colored slip dress from the Fall 2012 collection by
Versus with colorful inset ivory pumps — with multi straps — by
Jil Sander.
Wearing a full look from the Fall 2012 collection by
Prada, Emma rocks a silk-and-wool hexagon printed jacket and trousers with a jewel-embroidered blouse and embellished platform shoes with a matching bag.
In her second
Nina Ricci look, Emma sits pretty wearing a a tweed dress with white lace elements.
This is probably one of my favorite looks! Emma wears a bold mixed-patterned blazer, blouse and pants from the Fall 2012 collection by
Dries Van Noten. This ensemble was accessorized with a
Stephen Jones black cap, a
Charvet pocket square, a
Behaz Sarafpour necklace with a Venetian glass pendant and a
Marni brooch.
For another shot on the stool, Emma looks innocent in a pretty pale pink and red cable-knit dress by
Jil Sander.
She’s also wearing the H. Stern star earrings from the cover.
There’s something very Diane Keaton (circa late 1980s-early 90s) about this
Giorgio Armani herringbone suit and daisy printed
Tucker by Gaby Basora silk shirt, and green striped
Charvet silk tie. Emma is also wearing a hat that
Philip Treacy designed for Armani’s Fall 2012 collection and a
Tom Ford polka-dot pocket square worn as a scarf.
For the final photo of Emma on that seafoam stool, she wears a gorgeous
Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci baby blue and orange satin dress with black lace appliqués throughout the design.
A giggly Emma wears a super cool velvet printed wool jacket and matching pants by
Aquilano.Rimondi. This quirky two piece look was paired with a blue and white button-down shirt and a dark ruby red velvet vest — both from
Ralph Lauren Collection. Emma accessorized with a
Charvet polka-dot tie, a translucent
Marni star pin and patent platform loafers from
Miu Miu with a chunky high heel.
