MY VERDICT: Kristen seriously surprised on-lookers when she arrived for the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show presentation, held during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week today. Why? Isn’t it obvious? The “Clouds of Sils Maria” actress chopped off her hair! The 24-year-old beauty debuted a shaggy cropped coif that still held much of the orange-red color she’s been sporting since production of her last film. I have to admit that I already love it! As much as I liked her longer locks, I’ve always thought Kristen should try a shorter ‘do–and she certainly pulls it off.
As for her outfit of choice, Kristen stuck to an all-white palette that let her hair cut and color stand out even more. She wore a sleeveless white crop top partnered with high-waist netted harem pants from the Cruise 2014 collection and a pair of Christian Louboutin “So Kate” pumps. It was a bold move, but it worked for her. She piled on the accessories—something she doesn’t normally do—with layered Cruise 2014 chain necklaces and bracelets on each wrist, a rose gold Jillian Dempsey Fine Jewelry baby crown midi ring and a matching faux ear cuff.
Following the show, Kristen changed her outfit. While that’s something we’ve grown to expect from her–that usual wardrobe switcharoo consists of jeans and sneakers…but, not this time. She kept the top but switched out the pants and shoes in favor of high-waisted black trousers and a bowler hat–both by Chanel, black shades, Christian Louboutin “Mandolina” fishnet ankle boots, and Chanel Fine Jewelry; a “Ultra” onyx-and-diamond ring and a matching triple row chain wrap watch. This look was giving me 80’s Madonna-meets-Duckie from “Pretty in Pink” vibes…and I really dig it.
