MY VERDICT: Miley Cyrus did not hold back when it came to her MTV VMAs look this year! The “Midnight Sky” singer selected a strapless black sheer Mugler Fall/Winter 2020 midi dress with matching gloves that’s covered with mirrored embellishments.
I’ve been having a love-hate feeling towards sheer dresses these past couple of years, but I’ll admit that I’ve leaned towards ‘love’ for quite and few, and I think Miley’s dress fits that category for me. This just simply works for her; the dress, the styling, the makeup…it was well done.
She accessorized with strappy black sandals and drew attention to her sleek mullet hairstyle with bold Loree Rodkin jewelry and a fiiery red pout.
For her performance, Miley wore a custom look from her stylist Bradley Kenneth in collaboration with Michael Schmidt Studios. She wore a black mesh tank, briefs and split skirt before removing the skirt to swing on a giant disco ball.
The overall look was obviously a nod to her “Wrecking Ball” music video, and I dig it.
Once again, Miley wore Loree Rodkin jewelry.
