Review: OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection – Unfrost My Heart Trio

Welcome to Part II of my OPI x Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection review! I wanted to breakdown the review to highlight the special trio packaging of a few select shades from the collab, which includes the chromatic Unfrost My Heart collection.

This frosty line features an electrifying silver and two glitters packed with flakes of black, silver and white.

Unfrost My Heart — A SUPER frosty silver! This needs to be your go-to for New Year’s Eve or, ya know, just if you love sparkle in general. The formula was good; two coat coverage and zero brush strokes.

So Elegant — A mix of large gunmetal hex shapes and black glitter in a gray tinted base. The coverage was pretty good, and I didn’t have any fishing, but it did clump together a bit on the nail. I had to do a tiny bit of dragging. There was almost some lifting on the larger pieces. For the photo, I layered this glitter over Cinnamon Sweet.

I’ll Tinsel You In — This is a mixture of white square and white/black bar glitter in a clear base. I’m not sure where it really fits into the collection or the holidays, but you can always use a good black and white glitter. For the photo, I used this over Just BeClaus.

VERDICT: I really enjoyed the formula for all three of the polishes, but I have to admit that I’ll personally get the most wear out of Unfrost My Heart this holiday season. Although, considering how much I loved how Tinsel You In came out layered over Just BeClaus, I’ll probably give that another go in the near future as well. Like I said, black and white glitter is always cool.
