MY VERICT: Shailene was all smiles as she made her way out for her appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” to promote her highly-anticipated new HBO series “Big Little Lies”. The 25-year-old actress wore a gorgeous Prabal Gurung Spring 2017 sapphire and black burnout slip dress, which appears to be an off-runway commercial look as a similar cold-shoulder design was presented during the designers fashion show (pictured above).
While it would have been nice to see Shailene in the dress straight from the runway, I also like the simple and relaxed option she went with. The rich dark tones stood out against her fair complexion, and I loved the pairing of black Jimmy Choo “Davos” pumps with an asymmetric strap. It might go unnoticed, but I dig the way the angled strap played off the asymmetric hem of her dress.
