MY VERDICT: The newly-engaged “Empire” star was all smiles as she hit the blue carpet for the annual FOX Upfronts in a fun mixed pattern ensemble. Taraji selected a pretty almond feather printed crepe de chine “Kat” dress from the Altuzarra Fall/Winter 2018 collection; the long sleeve slinky dress, belted with a walnut brown croc accent, features a peekaboo cutout at the neckline as well as ruched thigh-high slit.
A black pump would probably be playing it safe, but Taraji was clearly in the mood for something unexpected and opted for a pair of watersnake Christian Louboutin “Galeria” sandals with studded twisted strap detail. I like the shoes–I can’t say I like the pairing of the dress, but individually they’re both really cute and I think Taraji pulled them off together.
