MY VERDICT: Charlize hit the red carpet for the annual HFPA Grants Banquet dinner in head-to-toe black. The “Tully” actress selected a Givenchy Fall 2018 deep v-neck cocktail dress with a pleated asymmetric overlay, three quarter sleeves and an accented oversize silk-satin bow.
While I’m a big fan of the upper part of the dress, I don’t care for the droopiness of the bow–it kind of turns off the whole lower part of the dress for me; I wish it was a little crisp. Aside from that, I love everything else–especially her asymmetric pumps and perfectly layered necklaces.
A side-parted wavy bob and a classic smoky eye-nude lip combo provided the finishing touches.
