Review: ZOYA ‘Splash’ Summer 2020 Collection

Product Review

Wow, 2020 is definitely going to go down as one of the weirdest years of our lifetime, so I believe that you have to grab little joys wherever you can.  ZOYA brought a splash of cheer to my summer with their beautiful new Summer 2020 ‘SPLASH’ Collection!

This 12-shade playful polish collection features a variety of classic and fun creams along with exciting micro-shimmers to brighten your season for some fun in the sun!

I have a full swatch review below for all of you thanks to the amazing ZOYA team, and I can’t wait for you to check out all of the pretty colors. This collection definitely tapped in to some of the best shades of the season, so I think you’re going to enjoy it as much as I did.

Corinna – A soft and delicate pink with gold shimmer. This is a great shade if you like nude polish or just aren’t a fan of bold color. The first coat was very sheer, but built up well with the second.

Fisher – The same formula and style as Corrina, except this shade is a beautiful seafoam blue. Again the first coat was very sheer, but built up well with the second. Just to note, let the coats dry a bit in between. If you don’t the layer before will be dragged away.

Harbor – This sea green creme is a staple summer shade. I have many versions of this color that I wear often so naturally I like this a lot. Formula was good and easy to apply in two coats. Remember to wear a base coat as this shade is always a potential stain-er.

Eclipse (over Harbor) – A great topper packed with small, shimmering silver holographic glitter. A great edition to top all of the creme shades in the collection and give them a little summer sparkle.

Maren – Not really a blue I’d wear during the summer, unless it’s for Patriotic nail art, but it’s a nice and easy to apply creme.  I might actually get more use out of it with my next winter-to-spring transition.

Jessica – I love purple polish — any shade or finish. This is a great violet creme; it’s much darker on the nail and was a bit hard to capture its true color in photos.

Emma – A classic summer coral, both the color and formula are wonderful.

This is two easy coats for full coverage.

Jodi – A light and pale almost bubblegum pink creme. The formula was okay, a little thicker than I prefer, but not too difficult to work with.

Kristie – Another creme finish, this one in a very summery magenta pink.

This one was also easy to apply and full even coverage in two coats.

Greta – Here we have the last of the creme colors, this one a very ripe red shade. You can never really go wrong with red polish, there’s always one that works for every season.

Leilani – One of the best shades of this collection, a bright pink that is packed with gold micro shimmer and it’s gorgeous!! It seriously just glistens! Formula is fabulous and even in two coats.

Celi – Saving the best for last! This is hands down my favorite of the entire collection. It’s basically the cherry-red sister to Lelani and packed with the same gorgeous gold micro shimmer.

I can’t get enough of this — it just pops so well with the red!!

VERDICT:  Zoya’s ‘Splash’ is definitely a fun collection packed with color!  While all the creme colors are beautiful, there’s nothing super unique to them.  However, there are a few special and absolutely must-have shades like Corrina, Fisher, Leilani and (without a doubt) Celi. Trust me, you need those!
