MY VERDICT: The 2020 Venice Film Festival kicks off this week, which I have to say feels really strange after events being off limits for the majority of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While many countries are still struggling, things seem to be doing a little better in Italy. That said, everyone participating in the festival is still required to practice social distancing and wear a mask; and Tilda Swinton followed the guidelines in her mask as she stepped out in a head-to-toe CHANEL ensemble.
Tilda wore a long bronze jacket and pants and partnered them with a pair of patent cutout black and red shoes, all from the Resort 2020 collection from the French fashion house. This look was originally presented with black and white shoes, but I think the bicolor of the red and black on Tilda adds even more of an unexpected edge to the classic outfit — especially with her vivid strawberry red hair.
She polished off the sophisticated day look with black shades, a CHANEL 19 camel quilted flap bag.
