MY VERDICT: Cate lead the #5050by2020 call for change women’s protest with her fellow jury members, but she also took the carpet solo for the early evening “Girls of the Sun” screening to show off her custom Giorgio Armani Privé black one-shoulder silk gown that showcased a dramatic bow at the hip. It was refined elegance at its best, and Cate played it up even more with dramatic multicolor jeweled statement earrings, from the Chopard Loves Rihanna Collection, and a pink gold Repossi “Berbere Module” ring.
