WHERE & WHEN: “Everybody Knows” Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony Premiere on May 8, 2018.

MY VERDICT: Okay, I see you Kristen–pulling out all the stops already! For the opening ceremony, the 28-year-old actress (and member of the Cannes jury) donned a beautiful Chanel Fall/Winter 2018 black silk halterneck tea-length evening gown. I liked this dress on the runway but, after seeing how ideal it was for Kristen and the effortless styling, it might be my favorite from the entire collection now. She didn’t wear the brooch originally paired with it, but I’m happy that she didn’t pass on one entirely; Kristen opted for a stunning diamond “L’Esprit du Lion” brooch that complemented her matching “Sous le signe du lion” ring and “Signature Duo” bracelet, all from Chanel Fine Jewelry.
A pair of Roger Vivier “Coline” buckled sandals, heavily smoky eyes, and an update on her fab hairstyle from earlier in the day provided a polished finish. I still would like to see her wear a dress from my wish list, but I actually like this look so much that I’m not sure one of those could top it.
