MY VERDICT: It’s only the first day and I already have a favorite look! Kristen joined her fellow jury members for the annual photocall and press conference to kick off the Cannes Film Festival in a blue tweed suit from the new Chanel Resort 2019 collection, interesting enough, this was originally on my wish list until a last minute change–I should’ve kept it on it. I’m thrilled with the styling of this spring outfit; I wasn’t crazy about the runway styling, but I loved the pairing of the relaxed RE/DONE white tank top and open jacket because we’re able to get a view of the cool high-waist cut of the pants.
A pair of shades, a FOUNDRAE “S” initial pendant necklace and white Aquazzura “Casablanca” sandals provided the finishing touches, but the highlight for me was Kristen’s partially slicked back mane with tousled waves on top; she’s kept her hair really short over the past few years, and I think this is one of her coolest ‘dos yet.
