WHERE & WHEN: “Sorry Angel” Cannes Film Festival Premiere on May 10, 2018.

MY VERDICT: I was awaiting Lupita’s return to the festival this year, and I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait long — nor was I disappointed. The “Black Panther” actress, and Lancôme ambassador, wore a white Dior Spring/Summer 2018 Haute Couture horsehair cage bodice and an ivory organza leaf-embroidered skirt. Lupita has always pushed the red carpet envelope a little bit; I’ve always thought that she had a fresh approach that balances on a tightrope between classically glamorous and avant-garde, and showing up in Cannes wearing a gown made up of a bird cage and leaves kind of proves that. She’s amazing. Flawless hair and makeup (and a some Chopard diamonds!) completed her look.
